Font Contest CSE

Tired of the same old boring font on the 84+CSE? Wish there was something new? Well, now you have a chance to make one!

This is a contest in which you must make the best stylized font for the TI84+CSE. The rules are as follows:
  • The font must only have the colors available in BASIC (sorry, Asm-huggers!).
  • The font must include all printable TI-84+CSE characters.
  • Each character must be the same size as (or smaller than) the corresponding character in the default font.
  • Do not steal anyone's font (especially TI's) or simply recolor it and claim it as your own.
  • The fonts shall be submitted as a .png file showing the name of your font and all of it's characters.
  • I shall then make a mockup of the font using a "Lorem ipsum" placeholder text, and edit the first post with all of the fonts.
  • By February (or when there are 10 entries, whichever comes first), I shall choose the winner based on legibility and stylishness. I will also upload a BASIC program simulating your font and upload it.
  • Above all, have fun!

Rules are not set in stone. There could possibly be a rule change in between now and the end of the contest

By the way, what size are the CSE characters? I don't have my own CSE.

The height is 10 pixels. The width is varied, but it is 8 pixels on average.

I'm surprised this is getting such a big reaction! XD I can't wait for the fonts to be made!

Interesting. I have some fonts myself, but sadly they were mostly modified from Times new roman and adapted to fit 7x7 squares with a shadow, and I'm not too good at making fonts otherwise. D:

Does all 256 ASCII characters have to be converted?

DJ, all of the characters here, but fit them to the same size as the CSE default font. I mean, Texas Instruments had enough patience to make a font, didn't they?

Make them stylized, though! Maybe you can add spikes, add fire, or whatever you set your pixelated mind to!

What are your ideas?

What are the allowed colors by the way ? I have a CSE but I don't use it much ^^
And this is 10px height and any width (proportional font) right ?

As per the rules, any color that the BASIC language allows.

To see them, go in the program editor, press PRGM, and go in the COLOR menu.

You just make the fonts on the computer, and give them to me for judging.

EDIT: Assume the background is white.
