ugh, not to repeat the problem, but where can i get these? they would help massivly.  cuz i can't seem to get my ti-con working right, i can only upload stuff through dev explorer, and my saves go bad in the image editor.

8x8 sprites are notoriously difficult to design -- at least, with quality in mind. These actually don't look too bad, but tend to feel a lot like an old Atari design. (and by that, I mean faceless palette blobs!)

well, he simply took a bunch of 8x4 heads and a bunch of 8x4 bodies, and did out all the combos.

 i find 8x sprites to be easier to design than 16x16 for some reasons, the only way bigger sprites are easier is when they are took from another game and resized or converted to grayscale/monochrome. In 8x8 for me making a character sprite is easier than making my own 16x16

Yea, I'd be inclined to agree. The smaller the size obviously the more creative you have to be in order to make it look decent. I deffintley think 8x8 is more difficult because of the smaller space in which you have to work.

agreed.  though w/ 16x16, there's a lot of freedom, but a lot of expectation too.  you can still run out of space ^^
