Not sure if Essence is going to look exactly like this, but I figured I might as well put one together :)

Actually it prolly won't because there should prolly be some sort of HUD...  Also the planes are just flying around instead of shooting or whatever they'll end up doing :P

Some non-linear 2D platformer that is kinda like Mario and Zelda combined together with Sonic/Megaman-style music.

People definitively need to make games from those :D. That reminds me, now that we show mockups of possible games, I showed one from Ys a while ago showing what could be Ancient Ys Vanished/Ancient Land of Ys on a calculator (although noticing it's still being sold as remakes, I'm unsure how tight Xseed/Falcom's copyright enforcement is. I remember on the old board Kamelot sent a C&D to Tenniskid493 for making a Golden Sun calc clone)
