This is just an early version, when I get the basic sprite done I will gloss it up in gimp.

user posted imagestill rough, but what do you think in general?

The car looks cool, but it seems as if the front and back of the car good be better shaped.  It still looks good though, and is an early version, as you said.

I would raise the back possibly to give it a more sports like look. And maybe make the back tires bigger. That's about it though, otherwise it looks great!

I just started it tonight.  I plan to reduce the number of polys so it would be more game worthy, fix up the shape in a few areas, add the retractable stock, add an animation for firing, and finaly, skin the details that don't make sense to waste polys on.  Right now, I am also trying to make a pair of hands from scratch, and I also want to do a number of other guns, and then I'll probably start work on some original weapons.

oh, here is what the real thing looks like

I am having trouble figuring out how wide certain parts should be from my reference pictures so far, but hopefully I get some better pics soon and have this gun done.

So are those pictures paintings or gimp art?
They're definitely amazing no matter how you made them.

nice model!  i think it'd be good enough if you're going to make a game.  but it'd be really cool if you polished up w/ more details and made a cool replica.

Wow necro you are really really good at 3D. I want to get back into 3D with Blender once I get a better computer.

The one I made in blender is a 3D model for use in games/movies/etc.  The picture below are photos of the actual gun, a franci spas 12, aI found on the interweb.

is it easy to convert the 3D models into data for C programs or any othe rlanguages? Or is it just a drawing tool?

it can convert the models into most formats, and you could probably make a python script to convert it to any other format you wanted.  it isn't a 3D engine, but the models made in it could be used in one.  Remember the pics of my old 3D game experiminet...well, lets just say I am doing some more experimenting.
