You should test the sprites in movement, not stationary like this.

If the game is all the way scrolling so that the character is always centered this wouldn't be necessary ;)

although characters in a referential that differs the one of the camera will be moving on the screen.
I'm currently writing the documentation for the game, so that people can give out suggestions, and eventually help me with the mass of game content that needs to be done.
