Some sprites and technical CalcGS help
« on: October 23, 2010, 08:59:14 pm »
Hello, there, mr. developer dude...

For Rule and Conquer I need help with some sprites:  I need about 20 different 14x14 sprites, that will serve as faces of commanders and people in the story and stuff.  It's a big undertaking, so Send me a PM if you want to help -- I'll give you exact specs.

For CalcGS help -- I need someone who can transfer sprites I made in MS paint to CalcGS.

For your hard work I will make you a cool userbar that says you helped with Rule and Conquer development -- if you help me you deserve it big time in my opinion.  Also, each userbar for each helper is unique in it's own way, so to get one please help me out.

...That it all.

I can give the tile importing a shot. I probably won't be able to for a few days, cuz of the Cage Match, but after that, school permitting, I'll do my best.

Spoiler For Projects:

My projects haven't been worked on in a while, so they're all on hiatus for the time being. I do hope to eventually return to them in some form or another...

Spoiler For Pokemon TI:
Axe port of Pokemon Red/Blue to the 83+/84+ family. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia:
My big personal project, an original RPG about dimensional travel and a few heroes tasked with saving the world.
Coding-wise, on hold, but I am re-working the story.

Spoiler For Finale's Super Insane Tunnel Pack of Doom:
I will be combining Blur and Collision Course into a single gamepack. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia Origins: Sky's Story:
Prequel to Nostalgia. On hold, especially while the story is re-worked.

Kay. Thanks.
I think this looks like it'll be a pretty cool game.  ;)

In CalcGS there is an Import menu under the File menu that will let you import from Bitmap's and the Clipboard. You could copy comething in MSPaint and then import it to CalcGS using Import Clipboard.

true, but mine have to be split in half  (they're 16x16), the borders between sprites removed, and some other things.  It's a moderately sized job O.o

Do you already have sprites done or do you also need new ones? In the former case I'll move this topic to calc help and in the later case pixel art.

Do you have an idea of what these faces are supposed to look like? Also, are they going to be in monochrome, 3, or 4-grayscale?
I do sprites and stuff, so yeah.
