Do we know who made Final Fantasy? I based it off of his characters (otherwise, I wouldn't have thought of such a chubby (in a good way) wizard).

And if you end up using this, I suggest lowering the hairline of the hood (for the front view) by one pixel. That way, it matches the side views. I don't have time to change it, sorry. Someone else could edit the picture for me, though. A word of caution to anyone who wants to do this: the colors are already screwed up, so be careful. :)

Wow nice sprites there. And I'm glad people are finally using this sub-forum :P (before, people would just request sprites inside their project threads and their requests would get lost because pîxel artists expected such requests to only appear in the Pixel art forum)

I got some wizard sprites but one has black robe and the other ones that could have done only faces one single direction

Which Final Fantasy were they taken from is the question. I'm pretty sure we could figure it out after that.

I took it from Final Fantasy I, the very first original one.

Graphmastur, I changed it again. Sorry if this came a bit late, but I was getting uncomfortable with the original. :)

I think he meant the one that was on the Nintendo Entertainment System, but yea, that linked program is an attempted remake of Final Fantasy.

I am reminded of 8 bit theater... :P
The linked game was okay in my opinion. Not the best, but decent for a calc.

True, I personally liked it compared to other calc RPGs but it had some annoying quirks, such as slow key detection in menus, not being able to cancel choices in battles and some bugs.

The version released prior that one wasn't too great, though. Key detection was even slower and game was nearly unplayable. Maps were not as good looking either (altough still quite good... more FF1 style actually.) and there were even more bugs.

It was still a nice job, though, considering RPGs are apparently a major PITA to code in ASM, especially when stuck with the 8 KB limit

So now I need 2 other sprites. One is a white fox. The other is something like a panther or tiger, and is drawn in black. Basically the white wizard transforms into this.

Thanks!

Actually 24x24, or better yet, 32x32, along with 16x16.  That's for both of them. The large sprites only face one direction. Fox faces the right. The other, the left.

I'm just really bad at sprites.

Here's my version of a "fox". I didn't really use the space well, so there's a lot of empty space on top (wow, foxes are that short?).

Also, I updated the wizards again (sorry if this came really late). I think it looks better than before.

The colors are now no longer corrupted, but the pixels are all over the place (thankfully, this is only for the large pictures; the actual-sized ones are fine). Paint is getting really annoying  >:(
