Sprites

Well if you've noticed the title of my forum changed right now I need 8*8 top down sprites of a hobbit walking similar to these

Once I can get some sprites I'll show you my new scrolling walking engine.

Congrats on choosing a name ;D, it's fitting.  You don't have to wait for sprites before screenies, do you?

Also, I would have thought Zelda would be closer to LOTR than Pokemon though :P

Congrats on choosing a name ;D, it's fitting.  You don't have to wait for sprites before screenies, do you?

Also, I would have thought Zelda would be closer to LOTR than Pokemon though :P
Well for the first question I'm having trouble even making a place holder sprite.
For the second one the walking engine will be more similar to pokemon.

It uses the fact that real(8 gives 1,2,3,4 which can be used to look up the proper sprite.
Right now I'm ok if someone could even make some filler ones.

Yeah it was meta's idea then I just added it to my previously made scrolling engine.

I do the same for my games as well, for my Tank game. Also works great if you put in a diagonal movement int other games.

OK I've taken sprites from this http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/8461/ff1miscmi3.png sheet and am going 16*16 now so I need some hobbit houses and some grass.

Yeah the trees are place holders I've been looking at the old omnimaga site from archive.org and ripping sprites from there.
