Thanks for the sprite, shmibs. It looks great. If I use the right line commands, it won't take too long, because, yes, I am just using them as stills.
Also, I'll take a look at that renderer, Finale TI. Thanks

Looks pretty nice Shmibs. I am happy to see more pixel artists around here, especially with Raylin and Magic being extremly busy
(from waht I read on Cemetech, Raylin also lost his contest entry then had to redo it again quick
and both has school)

Is there an easy way to get the sprites onto the calc? I do want them as line commands, but even with FinaleTI's render-er, it seems very tedious. I found a couple picture to line command converters on ticalc, but I can't figure out how to get the actual sprite on my calc.

I generally just put them in one 96x64 picture then convert to 8xi with TI Connect or use a bmp to z80 converter. I think SourceCoder 2.5 might be of use for you for that, but I'm not sure.

Since it is a bitmap file you can go into an photo editor, make sure the size is 96*64. Save it as that size and then just connect to your calculator with TI-Connect and then just transfer it over. Unless you meant something else.

Well, the sprite doesn't take up the whole screen. Would the methods you are talking about still work if I had to make the sprite only part of the screen?

Well all you have to do is change the dimensions to 96*64. I don't necessarily know what happens if you transfer a smaller one but odd things can happen because I've done it before, that was only one pixel off though. All it does is transfer the image onto the graphscreen or into a picture (I can't remember which).

Sadly for smaller sprites, if SourceCoder won't do it, then you need to use a bmp to hex converter or something and copy the hex by hand :S
I believe LordConiupiter posted one but I think it only does 8x8 and it's lost somewhere in the Axe sub-forum.

Now I've got hex code, should I just use Axe or something to put it on the screen, and then use one of the pic to line converters?

Wait, what are these for exactly? What are you trying to do with them? I thought this was gonna be a pure TI-BASIC game.

yeah, but you can't display sprites with hex in BASIC. I'm trying to get a pic of the sprite, so I can use a program to change it to line commands. (unless you know of a better way)
