HELP! I don't understand the deadline time!
« on: September 15, 2010, 10:36:33 am »
I don't know what 12 AM means, since I found serveral eplanations, even that 12 AM is a time that does not even exist!
everytime that I was down, you would always come around, and get my feedback on the ground. (modified part from 'Seasons in the sun')

No matter how many errors are bothering you, always try to stay rel-Axe!

The HoMM project will be resumed as soon Axe 1.0.0 will be released!
Projects:
Code: [Select]
HoMM:   [==--------]    Project 'resumed': I'm suffering overwhelming new ideas being popped up in my dreams :P
tiDE:   [----------]    Explored and understood the main part of the code: just started writing a Tokenizer.

According to your forum profile, you are in GMT+1. This means you have until Sept 16th 5:59:59 AM Netherlands time to work on your entry. In my case I would have until Sept 15th 11:59:59 PM, or if you never got to use the 12h system, then 23:59:59. Basically, at the time I am writing this message, there's 9 hours and 6 minutes left.

Kortom, je hebt tot 6 uur morgenvroeg.
Na die tijd heb je de deadline gemist.

Put it this way: 12AM = Midnight.  Yes, that's right, it counts like this: 12AM, 1AM, 2Am, 3AM, 4AM, 5AM, 6AM, 7AM, 8AM, 9AM, 10AM, 11AM, 12PM, 1PM...

It's a little messed up, but it's how it is.  I blame the ancient Sumerians. ;D

Unfortunately, the 12 hours system confusion has costed Nitacku a place in the contest. I wish USA moved to the 24h system x.x

Next year the deadline hour will not be set to 12 AM or 12 PM.
