I use 1.0.3, Runer's bugfixed version. I was really hesitant to upgrade from .5.3b, because it was so wonderfully stable, but when Zedd came out, it only works with 1.0.3 and later, so, that compelled me.

BuilderBoy's physics library. It's pretty awesome looking (though admittedly, I haven't gotten around to actually making anything with it. http://ourl.ca/13090

Epic poll O.O

Since you're just starting out, I'd recommend the newest version. It's going to be more optimized and fully-featured than any other version. The only reason I haven't updated my version from 0.5.3b is because I still have programs made with older syntax that won't work in the new version, but once I fix them I will upgrade.

Why not use 1.0.5 :D It's newer and has moar features, and still works with Zedd ^^

Mine's a beginner's guide. Sounds like you want something like a more thorough commands list -- I think wiki.axe.omnimaga.org is for that job :)

* Darl181 forgot about AxeWiki O.O

And I'd go for the latest as well (atm 1.0.5b)

Unfortunately (as alberthrocks pointed out on IRC), somebody vandalized it...

There shouldn't be any problems at all with version 1.0.5 except for incompatibility issues with versions prior to 1.0.0, so unless you've already made programs with older versions and don't want to rewrite, you shouldn't come across any issues with 1.0.5.
