Sorta same old effect, except that I got the line routine to work now with a few additional tricks.

This is an eye candy or a shooter game?

At the moment, it's more eye-candy than anything else. The collision detection *can* be thrown back in but I doubt you'd survive that. The purpose of the screenshot was to demonstrate the newly-created line drawing routine. I want to gather comments about it so I may either have to revise it, or include it into the normal game AS-IS.

The story system got a slight reworking and the stage system is next. Once the stages are done, a scoring system can be put in place. And after that, content may be added.

I am thinking in the story...
So game is simply stages, battle some ships them you have a boss, basically.

It is need to write text between the boss and the player... Is possible to present text any time in the stage? My idea is to appear some text as difficulty in the stage increases, when you have to face new waves of enemies, introductory talk to the boss and the attacks of the boss turn out more epic.

I watched some DanMaku videos on Youtube, it is intense.

I've been playing your demo a lot this week.
I've beaten Easy and Medium.
Best is only losing 2 lives on Easy and using the continue but no other lives on Medium. (both with DevBlock, I die a lot more with Netham45 for some reason)
I found out that the boss has some 'blindspots' on Easy that don't exist in the other modes.

Also, I got pretty far in Hard (second from last stage of the boss) but only to the 3rd from last on Insane.

Anyway, thanks for the demo. I'd be bored to death in pre-calculus without it. =P

I think the Netham45 char was kinda a joke, I think it won't even move at all or only move when doing something in particular (I haven't played in a while) XD

I personally epic fail at this game. It's incredibly hard to go between bullets guessing the exact pixel where i must stand to avoid them x.x

Well, another class went by and my skillz grew!

Beat Easy - No lives lost
Beat Medium - Last life before continue
Beat Hard - Last life after continue

I'd record it... but I don't think I could make repeat performances on wabbitemu. =/

That's pretty cool. I assume you're using the DevBlock for the character? If you're using Netham45, that would be a pretty impressive feat.

I'm glad people are getting some entertainment value out of the CaDan demo :)

EDIT: I would find it a little easier, since I'm the guy that made all these crazy patterns... but yeah. Beating the game on Lunatic mode using Netham45 gave ME a run for my money. So I'd love to hear stories about how you used that joke character in some serious run

Yeah, DevBlock.
I've beaten Easy and Medium as Netham45 but barely each time.
Hard is near impossible thanks to the bosses' "octopus" form (as I like to call it, you know... the one where he flails bullets awkwardly around the screen?) which I only beat (without losing a life) by timing him out and Netham is too slow to dodge with easily.

Insane is... well... insane. I've not been able to beat it but I've gotten pretty far.

People should recommend this game at school. Even as demo it's nearly POTY-worthy, maybe even feature-worthy.

As for emu, had WabbitEmu featured a quick-save key instead of just "Save as" with no keyboard shortcut, you could have done some sort of TAS and it would have been easy to record. I wish emulators also had speed settings, not just no speed restriction and regular speed :P

Mhmm necroposting, but very well justified :P

I am curious if Iambian is planning to resume work on this after finishing E:SoR or if he'll first finish fixing Celtic III. Both sure deserves a feature on ticalc wheen finished and released there.
