Yes, better.=) How many continues are you going to be given in the final version? Will you be able to earn more continues or lives after getting certain score benchmarks?
*edit* What's the deal with the netham45 ship? It's HORRIBLE and you can't even move without focusing.

lol I laughed when I saw it, but we all knew it on IRC because he was planning this for a while, I didn't remember that I couldn't move unless I press MODE though :P

Continues : You'll be given an additional continue per stage encountered, so by the 6th stage, you'll have 6 continues should you happen to spend them all there. With the upcoming shop system, you might be able to BUY yourself another continue, but that's planned to be the highest-priced item. Ought to spend that money buying yourself better weapons, though. You'll NEED them.

*edit along this item* : The "extra" stage that's planned will NOT allow continues, but you'll be given an extra life to compensate... and more powerful weapons that you already worked so hard to obtain (or might not have. More power to you if you didn't need them).

About Netham45: It's a joke character. He's gonna be one of those reoccurring character throughout the planned series that's just there for comedic effect. Of course it's gonna be hard to control him. Just imagine if I had put an uneven number for his char_dxf and char_dyf variables...

That's kind of what I figured, lol. I glad there's going to be a shop system with upgrades, that should help out alot as I'm sure the difficulty will get skewed as the levels progress. I'm sure I'll need those continues too. ^_^

One bugfix: If you press MODE when faced with the option to "Challenge Again?", the calculator will crash. Creds to "Adam" from teh college's math lab for finding this bug. Fixed in five minutes. Post delay: 2 days.

On another vein: The conversion process is nearly completed as far as doing it roughly. After I get it to actually compile, I'll start modding the existing system to best utilize the appvar storage space for work RAM.

Why it won't compile? "tasm: cannot realloc for macro definition"
What's it mean? Ain't got a clue. TASM's manual and Google has both failed me.

wow didn't even notice that one x.x. At least since the game is a flash app it's not deleted during the following RAM clear though :)

And TASM sometimes gives weird errors like this x.x. Did you tried Spasm from Revsoft.org? It's kinda an alternative to TASM IIRC

Yeah Spasm should compile it with little to no modification and with larger apps it is much faster.

Small updates. Though it hasn't show signs of compiling just yet, the system's been reworked (again) to fit the 2 page environment. Discussions last week told me that I needed to redo the entire script system so I'll have more on that later on.

When I work all of it out, I'll show the same old stuff resting on the two pages. Might continue working on the demo content until I can get a good enough system down for it all. It's gonna be a LOT of data entry when I get it all situated...

The FlashAPP might even go to 3 pages, but that's pretty much gonna be the limit if I were to go that route. The script system overhaul was mentioned because it was indicative of how much space the script's actually taking up. 16k dedicated space for just the scripts AS-IS wouldn't be enough.
