Yeah, that's what we've been discussing for a while. Seems like there's also been another email (which I didn't get, but buttsfredkin did) clarifying the situation.

I got my Prizm about a week ago, and I really love it.  I just ordered the skins on Tuesday, and they shipped yesterday!  The tracking code they sent me says that they should be here by next Tuesday.

That and they just ran out of the calcs, they only have the software now

That's sad, a bunch of my friends were going to try and get one after they saw mine.
Sorry to hear about them :(. I guess maybe they can convince their parents to get one next Fall though, instead of another model. Also nice to see you again on the forums Mighty Moose :)

Hey, thanks!  It's been a while I know, but with a new Prizm (and 2 Nspires on the way *.*) I figure I will try my hand at C and get more involved (I'm planning on learning C with one of my friends).  We'll see what comes of this...

@buttsfredkin: From what I can tell, there were 2 emails sent out (I got the one about them running out of Prizms).  Basically, it boils down to this: If you already started the assessments, you can still get a Prizm, but you need to finish fast.  If you haven't started yet but were planning to, then you are SOL <_<.
Cheers!
I beta test, so...yeah.  PM me if you want me to test anything :D.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades.

Cogito ergo sum.

Calcs:
TI-84+, OS 2.43, Boot Code 1.02, 128k RAM
TI-84+SE VSC, OS 2.43, Boot Code 1.00, 128k RAM  (I'm spoiled :P)
TI-81, OS 1.6K (only borrowed)
Casio fx-CG10 (Prizm), OS 01.04.0200
TI-Nspire Clickpad, OS 1.4
TI-Nspire Clickpad, OS 3.1.0.392
TI-Nspire CAS Clickpad, OS 1.6.10110 (!?) now OS 3.1.0.392

Hey, sorry that wasn't clear.  Here's the situation...  I had about 20 submissions and only the first 5 were able to receive Prizms (because we ran out).  So I sent a private email to ONLY those 5 to let them (you) know that the "I ran out of Prizms" didn't apply to them.  You still have one coming (in fact, I'm processing submissions right now).

But I needed to send out the response ASAP to keep people from getting ticked off about not getting a calculator; I know the calculators are a lot more popular than the software and it would be uncool to string people along.

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

I think there was some confusion about this on cemetech.net also, if you want to post there too. ;)

Hello, Mr. Austin! I must say that this Prizm has been helping me out. I was in Differential Equations and a friend needed a calculator, so I let him use my TI-84+SE calculator and I got to play with the Prizm. It was very lovely to use indeed :)

I just got an email and they are completely out of the prizms, but you can still get the emulator if you get the assignments.   =)

Welcome to both Austin and TI-Over9000. :D Also Austin question: Are you considering eventually opening the test to Canada, France and various other countries? A lot of people have complained about how the test and calculators were limited to United States.

As for the emulator I guess some people might want it more than the real calculator too because they might like to try stuff on the emulator prior sending it to their calculator, especially those who create programs and want to make sure they're bug-free.
