Sorry it's taken me so long to get back.  Everything sounds good, but I have a question: what are the personalities of the daemon and the boss?
Are they strong and big, or sneaky and conniving?

The Daemon, think of it as the 'God" of daemons. No real personality. it's strong and big but really, more, detached. It's basically being used by the boss it's not truly evil.

The boss is more driven. He's cunning and powerful, but he has a vision and he bent on achieving it. (If you've ever played FF VI think Kefka without the silliness)

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

Yeah, I've been gone awhile.  So I was thinking big booming dark music for the daemon, and then kind of nail-biting violin harmonics for the boss?
Does that give the kind of style you want?

We just finished collision detection today. So we can soon give you all some screen shots. And we're almost out of pre-alpha stage.

That's perfect. Nice to see you back btw.

Cool! If you can, you could make animated ones with CamStudio or something. Maybe even CalcCapture, although it would be extremly choppy and have crappy colors. ;D

Yeah, My friend should have something. It will still be at least a week though, we are writing a small utility program to help with the creation of maps so we need to finish that first to create a demo level.

Alright, so here is my to-do list:

-inspiring battle music (brass?)
-hero theme, 2 versions, 1 dark and 1 happier
-regular boss theme (maybe use some of the idea that I had before)
-daemon theme, big deep, and powerful
-boss theme, screeching, nail-biting violin harmonics (this one's going to be fun to write)

And I am now officially on xmas break, so...

Nice, do you have Omnimaga access over the break?

I can't wait to hear some of the music. Will it be heavy like for example, Romancing Saga final battle themes, Ys dungeon/boss music, or will it be more ambient/orchestral, like Final Fantasy?

Well.....
I plan on making it more orchestral, because that's what I know how to use the best.
I am going to try to experiment with violin harmonics right now.  I'm not even sure if it will end up playable by real instruments. :P

As for access over the break....we will see.

Aah ok. I tend to be more into the heavy stuff but some games are better with orchestral.

And I hope you can visit the forums. It seems like Omni is gonna be pretty empty during Christmas break D: (5 people already have no access at all, i think D:)

I am having trouble getting Finale Allegro to play back violin harmonics correctly.  Does anyone know how to do this?

Aw sorry to hear. Sadly I can't help as I only used MTV Music Generator (mostly the first) and a little bit of Magix Music Maker 14 and Sony ACID Pro 7. :(

Well, this does not stop me from having really high violin parts.  Maybe I could use piccolo, too.
