-complex platforms
-jump/crouch and mouselook
-3D models with some animations
-vehicles
-wimpy enemies with very basic ai
-multiple weapons
-banana gun!!!
-fast bullets
-a bit of nifty overlay stuff
Title (pending): Dr. Snipe vs. Mars
Storyline: (pending)
Press F1 to view the help file and controls.
LATEST UPLOAD: NEW DEMO!!!

To do:
-single player missions
-multiplayer support for up to at least 6 players
-more weapons/vehicles/enemies (duh)
-death sequences
-more animations
-perfection of the engine
Progress is slow at the moment because of school. I am a senior in HS this year and, contrary to popular belief, it is my hardest year yet! I am taking AP chem, Spanish IV, and AP calculus.
*please remember this is a very early demo, so don't expect to be too dazzled. Also, do not steal my models. This game has much copyrighted goodness.*

I am updating my version with your new demo now, mines dates back in august I think :P

sound pretty cool, are you keeping the bananagun weapon? :D
-
That's pretty addictive! It would be cool to have an autoreload feature, so the gun will reload automatically when you run out of ammo. Also what's up with the green guys, they come after you but you can't hurt them and they can't hurt you.
-
looks sweet! :D
-
There isn't any ai for the alien in that upload. All he does is chase you around. It's a pretty old upload- trying to get more stuff done like an actual map for the first level and more scenery and stuff before I make a new demo. Don't worry, the aliens will have ai next time.

Are you still using GM? If so, you realy ought to switch over to C++ with open GM or direct X...as GM6 has high requirements and low preformace
-
Any chance of a Linux Port with OpenGL or SDL?
-
happy birthday spengo!
well...any word on wether you will switch over?
-
No probably not. This was meant to kinda be my final gm game. Somewhat to show that gm is actually more powerful than people think, not just a drag and drop thing for wannabe coders (though it DOES have this feature as well <_<
). After I finish this and GTAvocado I shall be learning C and C++ (and maybe some 68k asm :D
).
-
sound cool, I think if you code 68k you should stay with C' unless you want to make a FPS tho, because its a lot more easier and its very fast
-
cool to hear you are going to switch...GM was a neat idea, but it isn't fast enough to be practical for a lot of games
-
How is the switch coming along?
-
Umm, I'm not switching this game. I'm going to finish this one in GML and then switch over to C and C++. I've already got the engine just about finished for this game in GML. Too much work to switch everything over. Maybe my previous post was a bit confusing? O_O
-
Oh! Well, when you make the switch, will you make another FPS?
-
Maybe. I was thinking of doing something for the 68k calcs though.
-
O_O

Would you use the FAT engine for 68k?
-
Maybe...
I wanted to do something really simple and easy to make first though, to get the hang of C.
Speaking of calc games- *spengo goes to work on gtavocado once more*
-
cool if u want a forum for it let me know ;)
-
Yeah, I guess so. I'll probably be working on it more again now anyways.
