Also, how about a bulletin board where anyone can put a flyer on to advertise their latest project?  As for moderation, anyone could take them down as well.

It's a bulletin board.  IRL, people can do that.  It wouldn't be a big way of showing off your projects anyway, and the moderation could sort itself out.  If it is abused, then a ban can be arranged.

That's a good point, although I was imagining a backyard with tables/chairs and maybe a front porch...meaning people could not walk far, but I know some people like to go outdoors

Hm.. Not sure.  If it's a house like thing, I would say above that creepy picture that is actually a passage to another part of the house that people can hang out at.
