Let's start with a comparison shot. This is the old project's look:
Now, here are some of the new demo that should be done shortly:
You're heading towards the Green Fishes' evil space lair!
A bit later in the level. You can see the thruster fire, a cannon shot, an enemy cannon, fish enemies, and stuff.
When enemy cannons shoot their laser, smoke comes out!
Woah! That's a lot of fish!
YOU ARE DEAD!
Enjoy. A demo will be next.

Wow amazing, this make me feel nostalgic now with those NES like graphics
I can't wait for demo. Will this support full screen (not stretched, but lower res) mode?

By the way how's PixelMan (if it is at all)? I was able to get to World 2 of the old demo (the uber hard/fullscreen pixel one). I'm still addicted to it...

, @necro i think he meant that Tank 1 was impossible to beat so he made 2 easier

Tank 1 wasn't impossible... with practice, I was able to beat it very quickly. But the difficulty will be lower on this game, and there may be even more levels on this one.
Pixel Man is not entirely dead, but I'm unsure what direction to take with it. It has weird dimentions that make programming it (well, mostly testing it) very difficult. It will probably be recovered at some later point in time.
Now, I have a question for you guys: would a two-player mode be a good thing for this game? If I really decide to push this project, heck, I might even be able to enable online multiplayer, but that seems incredibly unlikely without some incredible help.
