Do you have synaptics packagemanager or Ubuntu software center open?
If so, close it :)

NEW PROBLEM!

I have booted the LiveCD. My HDD setup on my second drive (the one with ubuntu), looks like this:

Drive 2
   unallocated: 13.72GB
   /dev/sdb2 (extended, 23.54)
      /dev/sdb6 (ubuntu, ext4): 5.07GB
      /dev/sdb7 (linux-swap): 510MB
      /dev/sdb5 (ntfs): 17.97GB

I want to enlarge the linux partition to take up all the unallocated space. i cant because sdb2 is too small. it also has a little key next to it. (idk what that means). Could someone help me figure out how to change the linux partition size?

EDIT:
My new hard disk state:

Code: [Select]
Drive 2
   /dev/sdb1 (/opt, ext4): 13.72GB
   /dev/sdb2 (extended, 23.54)
      /dev/sdb6 (ubuntu, ext4): 5.07GB
      /dev/sdb7 (linux-swap): 510MB
      /dev/sdb5 (ntfs): 17.97GB
