For me I'm waiting for amd's 6990 card. Although it is expensive I just have to have it.
Also waiting out on amd's bulldozer chip. Which will 8 frickin!!! cores and 4 256 bit fpu's
Also good is that I will be able to turn my current computer into a minecraft server with 8 gigs of ram.

List of stuff I need to do before September:
1. Finish the Emulator of the Casio Prizm (in active development)
2. Finish the the SH3 asm IDE/assembler/linker program (in active development)
3. Create a partial Java virtual machine for the Prizm (not started)
4. Create Axe for the Prizm with an Axe legacy mode (in planning phase)
5. Develop a large set of C and asm libraries for the Prizm (some progress)
6. Create an emulator of the 83+ for the Prizm (not started)
7. Create a well polished game that showcases the ability of the Casio Prizm (not started)

haha nice. Ok, so amazing news. I WILL HAVE MY COMPUTER IN JUST OVER A WEEK!
I took my money that I would be able to use today (including my yet to be sold computer) and I looked to see what I could do with that alone. Amazingly enough, I was able to find 3 of the same parts and 2 that were extremely similar and formulated a budget where I can buy all the components all at once.
my wishlist for my remaining components:

Make sure you distribute power evenly from your power supply. That caused problems for me when I first set up my system. (I was trying to use as few cables as possible, which caused the gpu to fail)

Good luck getting your mobo. Intel just recalled all 1155 boards because of a chipset bug.

yep that's why I now do not have a computer until april. See, I listed my comptuer on ebay monday and the day before yesterday (when the bug was announced) my computer sold about an hour later and now I can't buy my cpu because they recalled it and that's why I don't have a computer until april.. although my dad might obtain me a free mac mini G4. Nothing special, all I hope is it can run IRC and the JDK for my class. I got my motherboard before hand so I have to RMA that as well
even though all that happened.. this is good for me because I will have enough money to save for the computer parts I would have eventually bought if i waited until march, so yay.. kinda :s

Wow congrats on the fast Ebay sale. When you get your new computer, does it means you'll be online more here?

oh definitely
good-bad news kinda. My dad lost his job (company is being sold) so ima have to buy all the parts that he would have bought me.. but that's ok because I can afford what I need fortunately. Also im glad newegg prepaid my shipping label and waived the restocking fee for a true 100% refund
current wishlist:
https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=14559305
In addition to that I will be buying avg internet security, windows 7 professional edition (educational discount), and re-buying the motherboard I had to send back once its out

Don't use AVG, use Avast! or Microsoft Security Essentials. Both are free, iirc.

What's wrong with AVG, though? You should state a reason why one should use Avast over AVG so it won't look like software fanboyism, considering all 3 softwares you mentionned are available for free. I never had troubles with AVG on my old computer, except that it used to be so friggin hard to find the free version online. I like Avast, though, since it automatically updated for me and like the free version of AVG it was free.
Also sorry to hear Snake X. X.x

Oh you mean Internet Security, which isn't free. In that case I wonder if you wouldn't be better with the free version or Avast, combined with another software like Spybot Search and Destroy?Note: If you be careful you shouldn't even need the latter. This comp runs only with Avast and I never got any spyware or the like: I simply watch out what site I fill forms on and avoid downloading torrents containing zip/rar/tar/gz/exe files.

avg internet security seems to be working for me ok. I do a lot of websurfing and dl'ing and I havn't caught anything.. untill recently (not sure how that even happned though.. might be via utorrent or SysReset). Although I will still keep utorrent, I won't be seeding the music torrent anymore because im affraid that's where it came from. other than that idk
