What should I get?I'm planning to use them mostly for gaming and surfing web
I can get these for free from the college...
the lenovo 410 looks pretty nice, I'd go for that one in terms of all around features. If you already own a pc of some sort though, I might go for the mac. They're supposed to be pretty nice and it'd be fun to be able to play with one for free (they are fairly pricey).
I don't really like the first one, since it doesn't have optical drive (which means I have to buy the hardware to run the thing or something that can abstract and run the ISO image) and that's a hassle...Quote from: Art_of_camelot on May 27, 2010, 02:18:41 amthe lenovo 410 looks pretty nice, I'd go for that one in terms of all around features. I'm going over to his house tomorrow so I'll try to get the specifics. I know that he bought it fairly recent (around 5 months max) and the only problem Toshiba has is that the DVD driver is not working. He said if I'm going to trade mac with his, he'll fix the driver problem before he gives his Toshiba to me. Hopefully it will be a good deal(btw, his laptop was only $500, because it was on special sale or something like that... But that kind of worries me, because the laptop from the college are all around $1000, so I might be getting a bad end of the deal)
