Yeah, well it's over the minimum requirements for Portal, and windows 7 runs faster then vista or xp, so I can have a few less recent games
yeah, it's good for what I need

I'm glad to hear things went well. I hope you do not have too many issues. Do you dual-boot with Windows 7 btw?

Ok good because as great as Linux might be, I sometimes heard people complaining about compatibility with Windows softwares before. Example: Starcraft 1 on Battle.Net and RPG Maker VX database editor. (Wine)

Yeah I like my games, and I need windows to be compatible with the rest of the computers in my house (well except for my sisters mac-book...)
btw, in case anybody is interested, I'm running 64bit arch and my current front end is Gnome (I'll be getting KDE in a while)

Hmm, I just noticed there are two "New Laptop" topics
And after looking at the other one again, I didn't knew you could use both a 32 bit and 64 bit OS on it
(in your case 32 bit 7 and 64 bit arch)

Yes, you can! I was actually dual booting Windows XP 32 bit and the Windows 7 64 bit beta until I got the full version of Windows 7. =)

you can because they are on completely different partitions, so they don't rely on each other at all.
