Yeah, both my laptop's wireless card, and my desktop's card needed special drivers, luckily my laptops linux drivers worked correctly, but the desktops linux driver for the chipset cause kernel panics whenever I try to use it (And guess who made the chipset and driver, TI ) but luckily, when I got the windows driver for it and used ndiswrapper the wifi card worked.
