Anyone here play starcradt? I know silvercalcknight does but i was wondering if other people did as well. I play quite often actually it's amazing how a 8 year old game still get thousands of people online at once, we still get server lag sometimes :Dbiggrin.gif

(btw if i hppen to idle on IRC all the time it may be because i play starcraft at that time, sometimes during the game I press windows button to go back to IRC... uhm well maybe i shouldnt do that in the MIDDLE of the game)

what does ums stand for? btw careful even though i still sucks sometimes i can be mad on Starcraft Dream map (the one with 500000 minerals in 1 spot stuck directly on the command center/nexus/hatchery), i usually play normal free for all/team vs team games tho

hmm it really depend where u live, in USA some ppl got it for $12, however over here price range from $15 to $20 and the battlechest is $30 (which include the two version strategy guides)

Bump. Went to store today, bought Starcraft, Brood War, and the official game guide to each for (get this) $19.99. Can you beat that? I don't think so.

it's not about the GAME itself. it's about the serial that comes with it, which incidently allows me to play online. Maybe even having a bit of protoss vs. zerg beatdown with xlibman...

yeah. Actually, you can use any Brood War disk. It will not ask for any key on it, just for the original Starcraft.

UMS stands for Use Map Settings, which allows for non-conventional games, such as Turret defense, Cannon defense Reaver defense, you get the point ;)wink.gif

oh yeah i see now what u mean, i know use map settings game, somertimes I play that 7v1 hard zerg game where you fight a base with super high powered units called Unstoppable Mutaslik, Commando Zerg, and some has 9999 life points XDsmiley.gif its fun to attack them all 7 at once with 100 units XDsmiley.gif

there's also other kind of games as well but i don't like them as much

at one point we should organise a big starcraft game and if there is more people we should do a small tournament :Dbiggrin.gif

It should be during weekend afternoons, when both ppl from america and europe can be online

yeah it was 2nd monday of october and in germany they doesnt have thanksgiving at the same time either i think -.-blah.gif

christmas holidays could be good tho, maybe there could be two tournament

another thing that could be cool is some kind of sc clan (maybe on IRC) so we all play against other ppl. Of course some ppl on battle.net are hardcore gamers that devote their entire life to SC (5-70 hours per week of playing) so we may need to practice a lot against computers or team of computers
