FFR gone for good?
« on: February 07, 2010, 03:10:45 pm »
Is seems that Flash Flash Revolution is down for good and probably not coming back. Not sure of the whole story but it seems there was some money issues floating around and the site was inevitably shut down due to this  :-\

More information can be found here: The FFR Lo-Down

In the meantime, does anybody happen to have alternative to FFR? I can find it kinda hard to replace a site like that, since it was one of the best(if not the best)  :(

Yeah I was searching google for what happened, and it seems like it shutted down :/

It sucks, because it was pretty popular and had many simfiles

I wonder if they're willing to give the simfiles to someone else for hosting. I didn't go there much but it was very popular :/

I'm not really sure.
The closest thing is Stepmania, but it lacks the community.

For simfiles, I always used Bemanistyle. You have to register and all, but not that big a deal.

Not sure of any alternatives than that. I still only play Stepmania or Guitar Hero as far as rhythm games go.

well if you pm yourselves such links, I would prefer that once done, you all immediately delete the sent and received PMs from your inbox, so it won't remain in the database

Nice to see a backup, tho

I have no idea why, but this version is NOT responding to my keypresses at all.
I even changed the keys and tried again with no luck. =(

I'd help ya there, but I lost my like 800+ simfiles with the hard drive crash a few months ago.

There's no way I'm redownloading those all one-by-one again. >.>

It was more of a 'I knocked over my tower' crash. =(
Had to get a new one and all... I don't even remember what I did with the old one.
I know I still have it, I just forgot where it is.

Doesn't salvaging a HDD content costs like $300 tho? I remember Sam Heald saying this on Void Productions in 2003 but yeah that was in 2003. (check Archive.org when their archives are back up. 2004-05 archives may have it in Sam Heald plan file)
