legendary is ridiculous...I keep getting killed by elites in the area where the enemy ships board in the first level.

Lol.  I know one thing that helped me on Heroic is using gernades often.  In normal, I don't use too many 'nades, so using more will probably help.  Also, jupming and lots of unloading, even if you not accurate helps.

I keep getting either near a grunt grenade or get in front of an elite...either are lethal.  Heroic isn't to bad...it showed me  that needelers are awsome.

If you end up infront of elite, jump and move to either side or fowards.

You're best bet, either dual up on Pistols, because they pack quite a punch, or use the plasme rifles, they will take the elites shields down almost as fast as they take yours down.

Me and my bro spent two weeks on that area alone...

ROFL! Those were a pain in the a**, but we had less trouble with those then the second area of boarding craft. :)smile.gif

Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to mention this, but we beat halo 2 legendary a few weeks ago, and we used a Banshee to finish it off. >Dgni.gif

Oh yeah, on 'Tartarsauce', as we so affectionately call him. :rofl:rotfl.gif

Got his shields down, slammed him with the 'missle' that the banshee has, and it took him out after several hits. You would have to watch it though, since the brutes would come out, you could shoot the missle in the middle of them, and they would all jump off of the edge, committing suicide. :lol:bounce2.gif

I am talkin Legendary. I beat Tartarsauce by myself on heroic in under an hour...

We had spent nearly two weeks tryin to beat him, then said to heck with it and finally went and looked up ways to help defeat him. That was the only level. The rest of it, we did it guns a-blazin. :Dbiggrin.gif

Halo 2 legendary is only possible doing coop. In my experience anyways. Even then, it's way too hard. Heroic is like Halo1 legendary, so that's much easier to play.

I just simply used plasma pistol and battle rifle and beat half of Halo 2 on legendary.  Then I got bored and tried to do it in Halo 1.  Couldn't beat 2nd level.  I tried using plasma pistol and pistol, but I guess I just got freaked out by the fact I had no heavy weapons.

Skulls are fun.  Which ones have you guys found?

edit:  Halo 2 coop is way too hard for me and my brother.  One of us always dies somehow.  Then we tried to push Sarge on the first level into the battles to help us fight.  We were so close, but then he ran away after the first pelican bay.  It was funny though.  Then I beat the first half of the game by myself on legendary, got the Envy Skull and the Grunts Birthday Party Skull, made files so I could easily access them, and then me and my brother had a blast blowing up grunts, elites, brutes, the like on easy.  It was so fun.  Well, not anymore.

Wtf, are you saying that Halo 2 is easier than Halo 1? Are you high on something? O_Oshocked2.gif Halo 2 is like 10000x harder than Halo 1.

I've beaten Legendary by myself. Now when I go to Heroic, it's like cutting through butter. I used the Banshee on Tartarus too, but I did it alone. I think the key is to find new approaches to areas and snipe if possible (like the gondola area with the Hunters).

About the skulls, I only have a few more to get yet.
