Halo : Combat Evolved
« on: June 02, 2007, 12:11:00 pm »
I was wondering if anyone plays Halo:Combat Evolved. If they do then I would like to setup a little contest or a little clan or something. If you don't play then what games do you play.

Sorry, not my bag baby. I had a crack of it one time... Halo with m&k controls is ridiculously easy. SP feels like an FPS in slow motion. :oohmy.gif Finished legendary w/out breaking a sweat. The multiplayer was horrible imo, it was always doing this weird lagging so that you have to aim like a meter in front of the person you are shooting. Really odd and hard to get used to. Fortunately since all a SPARTAN super soldier who can flip tanks over with his mind powers can manage is a sort of fast-ish walk, it was still easy enough to hit people. Now, I enjoyed Halo on the xbox pretty good, it seemed one of the better console fps anyways. The PC version is made of phailure though. :Ptongue.gif

I do play good fps though like CS:S and Battlefield 2 though. =) I also intend to purchase UT2k7 whenever it comes out.

Hey spengo I agree with you all the way man. Its just right now my system sucks and that's all I can run. But imho I think the storyline sucks most of all out of this game and especially the way they handle levels. Like when you get to the flood and everything it starts just repeating like crazy.

Sneak-play means that when my parents go out I play Halo and just before they come back, I run to my room and pretend that I was studying the whole time. ;)wink.gif

If you can run Halo, you can run CS:S on at least the low settings, I'm pretty sure. Xlibman got hl2 running on a radeon 9250 so... what are your specs anyways? :oohmy.gif

I kinda enjoyed the Halo storyline myself. Better than Doom 3 or Prey or something lol. XDsmiley.gif I know what you mean about the repeating though... that one level where you follow that fscking guilty spark guy, every room looks the same as the last. >:0 "hmmhmmhmm I'm a genius" SO MUCH HAET. And then at the end, when his whole fscking planet explodes, you see him flying off into space. Grr grr grr! Must kill! They should make him return in Halo 3 and let you be able to kill him! I would play it just for that. ARRRHH

Haha he isn't going to return, but there are a bunch of him though. His brother was in Halo 2 if iirc. But yes that monitor was pissing me off a lot. Anyways I am running Halo at low settings hahahaha on 800x600 resolution.

These are the times I hate having a Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS Express Graphics Chipset (910 Express Chipset Family) in my laptop...it doesn't have any 3D graphics support! I was completely surprised when it could run the Halo demo at all! :alien:alien2.gif

Oh wow, you weren't kidding! XDsmiley.gif No wonder you want to build a new computer. (though I still think you should go c2d instead of ax2)

Yah, I'd be ready for some Halo Combat Evolved PC action. As long as it isn't this week/weekend (overwhelming school)

3.2 Ghz
2x200 GB hard drive
1 GB RAM
ATI radeon 9800 Pro

Used to be good at it, haven't played last 3 months.  :supersayan:superguerrier.gif

I'm OK because I only get to play limited amount.

Your lack of 3D support is very surprising. ;)wink.gif
