Well, a new less exciting and all together more sterile E3. There wasn't anything all that new I cared about, but i think nintendo if anything showed that the wii is for anyone but core gamers. When your suprise is a blance board based combo of exercise and party games, and the things you list as you core gamer offering is ssb, mario and metroid, I can't think of anything I would actualy care to play. Well, I am just curious what your thoughts are...agree or disagree.

Well, even if I wasn't at the E3, I still kind of think it sucked from the videos and the descriptions I read. The Wii balance board is kind of uninteresting, but imagine what kind of games could be made for it if its full potential was discovered (the keyword here is "could")...
Anyways, my favorite game from the E3 show was Assassin's Creed. Even if it was kind of buggy, the gameplay looked great and the scenery fantastic.

Yeh, assassin's creed is going to own all. I shall buy the PC version on the day of release!
It still isn't quite finished so bugs are expected right now. They are doing the last finishing touches. It was my fav from E3 '06 too.
The wii is fun. I think it needs lots of light gun games. And what would really own is if they added all the old arcade light gun games to the thing where you buy all the old mario games and stuff. Of all the next gen consoles I think wii is my favorite. The others are just more of the same stuff that I've seen before and my PC does much better anyways.

IMO, the wii has no games I want. Consoles however have gta (hopefully this one will have decent controlls), bioshock, halo 3, etc. and it only cost a few c notes compared to k notes to upgrade my pc again.

Meh, never buy GTA on consoles. Even if you have to wait a year for the PC version it's ALWAYS better. They've got all the bugs worked out by then usually and the graphics of course look better, controls are 100x easier, and there are third party mods.
It shouldn't cost much more than $500 to upgrade a PC I don't think. Even building a completely new one you could make a pretty pwnin' rig for that much assuming you already have stuff like case, monitor, keyboard, etc. If I were to make a cheap rig:
intel c2d e4400 $139
evga nforce 650i $99.99
evga geforce 8600gts $164.99
corsair xms2 2*1GB $113
That's $517 right there and if you wait a couple weeks I hear the core 2 prices are going to plummet because of some new ones intel's got comin' out. Supposedly the e6420 will be available for under $120.
I mean, assuming you have all the other stuff, that's all there is to it really. Might want to get a new PSU too, one in the $5-60 price range should be sufficient for that setup.

Yeah, I plan on buying AC when it comes out for the PC, too, but I seriously need to get a better laptop before then. This one's graphics chip doesn't even have vertex shader support >.< . It's a Dell B130, BTW.

compared to a single $400 drop in the bucket to play games for several years to paying hundreds each time I want to play a new batch of games, and the fact I am not that fond of mouse and keyboard, I think 360 is the best deal. And compared to a 250$ for a wii that only has 3 games on it that'd Id buy to the 10 that will be out by years end for 360, and the quite a few that I am interested in...

What what? New consoles come out just as often as PC upgrades are needed, (imo anyways) but whatever floats your boat.
