I never heard of it, so I might have to check out what it is. I tend to not play games on my phone, though, because my battery gets drained fast and I have less disk space than a calculator.

Also nice to hear you're still around and have unbricked your 86. :D

Yeah especially since this game requires that you get outside and explore the totally non-interesting IRL world.
PLus it requires Internet and I don't have an Internet contract (€2 contract FTW).

Hmm I see now. Does it means it will not work for most Omnimaga members? (the ones who live outside United States)

You know that with an Arduino, you can now browse Internet or IRC from a TI-83+ (sort-of)? O.O Btw some other members here also got an Arduino :D

It works everywhere, just that I don't have premanent Internet access on my own phone (only through WiFi) and I'm way too lazy to get out and explore the world. :P

ive been just fooling around with it recently, ive come to a point where sometimes it doesn't seem worth it to do some stuff.

on the other hand cables showed up today, so now i have to delve into a old harddrive for all the files hidden inside

YEah a lot of the stuff that has been done with it was mostly experimental and to show off. That said, in some rare occasions there were people playing Obliterate 83+ online via Calcnet. Granted, Internet on a 83+/84+ requires a computer (and in 83+ case, an Arduino, since it lacks an USB port), but Obliterate in particular removes the biggest barrier that every other multiplayer calc games ever faced: lack of IRL friends to play the game with. :P

It would be nice to see. How % complete the game was actually? Was it a demo or was it really nearing completion?

55%ish, i had the store, map, fishing, conversations, and a first draft of villager ai running.
i needed to write house code, and an inventory system to make it somewhat playable.
Short and sweet. :)
