I think a voip server would be fun. I personally prefer Teamspeak, but I guess any service would be fine. If JuJu decides to go through with this, I reccommend that the service be called and referred to as JuJuSpeak.

Me and pimathbrainiac could get on there for our DotA 2 games. Oh, and what about Trackmania? Are there TM Nations players on here except me and JuJu?

IMHO as long as it's not Skype I am fine. TeamSpeak and Voip seemed more complicated to setup (and in TeamSpeak some people had troubles joining) in general, but what I hate about Skype is that I keep getting disconnected from calls when playing online games like Starcraft Brood War or Starcraft II. >.<
I saw a friend play Starbound recently and it looked pretty neat. That'd probably be my suggestion. :)
The only issue with Starbound IIRC is that the game is very short. My bro already finished it only a few weeks after purchase.
It's like Minecraft; you can "finish" it in a short amount of time (a day if you're good in the case of MC), but building and community keep the appeal. (Terraria used to be that way, but they've put in a whole bunch of stuff over time; Starbound may go the same way.)
Ah ok, for some reasons, the way my bro was talking seemed like it was more a game mainly focused on a quest and that there wasn't much to do including building afterward. Maybe he prefers survival modes more, though.

The server's in my room, so I dunno... If you don't mind it might be doable.

As long as it doesn't disconnect as often as yourself on IRC, so we don't see netsplit every three minute or so during evening. :P

Anyway, I have both Tekkit Classic (a Minecraft mod) and Starbound running on derpy.juju2143.ca if you're interested.

I don't think that IRC would be a good choice, because there wouldn't be much people.

Not if we link it to Omninet.

Yeah, but usually, hosting a IRC server at home might not be a good idea.

Pros:
- IPv6!

Cons:
- The IP isn't static, which might probably mess up stuff when the IP changes or even while taking in account it might change
- I don't have the benefits you have when you host it in a datacenter, so no 99% uptime and I'm afraid it might netsplit a lot

We could test it a week or so.
