Guitar Hero world tour
« on: November 14, 2008, 11:53:35 pm »
So, I managed to find a full kit for Gituar hero world tour for my Wii monday and I haven't been able to stop playing it. This is the best game in the series by far and it has a really awesome set list. Playing all kinds of different instruments on it is really fun and I keep messing around with the create a charter too. So anyone else played this/got hooked on this yet? :D

I just looked through the song list expecting there to be little I liked (like the last couple) and was surprised to see The Living End, 311, Modest Mouse, NOFX, Rise Against, Dinosaur Jr, and Subime

I'm a little disappointed that Nirvana made it into the game though.  Kurt Cobain wouldn't hate that, lol.

Can't beat the Mighty Mighty Bosstones in Rock Band though. :P

yeah i got the PS2 version a week ago with the guitar only. I got the PS2 version since it was $10 cheaper here and I couldn't find the Xbox 360 version anywhere. I am surprised GHWT was that cheap I was expecting the guitar package would cost $140 but I got mine for $90. I got a second PS2 in my bedroom so I can play there and it's easier to record songs I make on the music studio to my PC (it appears to be in real time recording mode so it will be hard to get used to)

It's quite fun actually to play from time to time, altough I get bored after a while, the music not being my favourite ones (which is why I always liked DDR and Stepmania better)

EDIT: I actually made one song in the studio. It's a rock cover of Rick Astley song:

7697 to go

lol indeed. GH Music Studio is so hard to use tho. It's all trial and error and if you press the wrong button you mess up your entire song. If it had note by note inserting ability like in MTV Music Generator, Mario Paint Composer or all PC sequencers out there it would have been much easier.

We have GHWT tournament at school soon.
It's a fund raiser with an entrance fee.

I just learned about it today, so I've been playing nothing but expert non-stop.
(Hands are KILLING me.)
I'm playing Mr. Crowley on practice to help with finger speed.
God... that song is one BIG solo. >_<
But it's the best for the kinda practice I need.

Wish me luck! (First prize is a $50 gift card to GameCrazy with a $4 entrance fee.)
