I never played it personally but at one point I shoudl give it a try, since I got a copy years ago in cereal boxes. Not sure if that copy will run on Windows Seven, though...That's where I got my copy too :D Anyhow, it should run on Windows 7, it did for me. Also I'll post my two parks soon.
Ah ok good, but how old is your copy? Sometimes, the game may run fine on Windows 7, but not the installer. I have this problem with Starcraft Brood War and my TI CD. In Starcraft case, I have to download a new installer that is 2 GB large after entering my CD key online. >.<It's at least 5~6 years old but it worked pretty well.
Ok thanks. My copy is from around 2004-06.Ah ok good, but how old is your copy? Sometimes, the game may run fine on Windows 7, but not the installer. RCT2 is pretty much the only one I was able to make work correctly in Wine. You might want to enable the compatibility thing and set it to Windows 98.
Does anyone remember the Omnimaga themed park I posted about? I'll try too dig up the file later...Maybe you can find it on the internet somewere? Normally, if you still have the disk, it should be legal to have a copy of it on your computer.
Also, I can't play RCT3 since data2.cab got scratched on the disc... ughhhhh.
Thanks sorunome :DTrue, but when I initially installed it, knowing the game is from 2001 I was sure it would have 3D graphics and much more complex textures. :P I mean, even Starcraft from 1998 has more complex graphics. It's still good, though, but I was sure 2001 referred to a re-release or something back then and that the game was actually from 1994 or so. :P
And DJ, this game is from 2001, that's about 10 years before minecraft.
I need to add more custom scenery to this park, such as custom ride supports. Hope I can find them in the Web :3
Well that's what was cool b ack then, DJ_O. :)Thanks sorunome :DTrue, but when I initially installed it, knowing the game is from 2001 I was sure it would have 3D graphics and much more complex textures. :P I mean, even Starcraft from 1998 has more complex graphics. Of course, though, back in the days I was aiming more towards graphical-intensive games when it came to computer gaming.
Yay, nice coasters! dat looping + cobra roll + looping, though O.OYeah that corkscrew's got 5 inversions O.O It's pretty popular, though :D
It looks pretty cool. I should try that game when I get at home.It definitely is a cool game. Guess why I'm hooked every time I start it :P
-blah- the game.Bitch.
Also I installed RCT3 yesterday, it runs great under Wine. Also, I found a way to run it 1920x1080.How? I get a DRM message when I try running.
Hayleia, how is one supposed to understand that thing O.OHehe :P
I wrote a script to take advantage of a HUGE (I think max plot size is 128x128) plot of land which calculates the longest possible and fastest possible track you can make on it using a trainer. Is that for RCT2 or 3? iirc in 2 your parks can be much bigger than a wee 128x128.
The track ran at 1089 MPH. I need to find it and post it. The game was hilarious in it's graphic reaction to it. The coaster was vibrating several inches to the left of the station when it finished, and it ran entirely through the station if I didn't put a vertical drop stopper on it.
The way we spend our lives, man. (It took me an hour to write it up and it took it 30 seconds to build it.)
I better take a week off to build a custom support frame for my wooden coaster... *.*Is it collapsing or something?
Already saw, looks damn epic. O.O 10/10 I would not ride because it's too barf-prone for me. :PI actually don't mind scary rollercoasters IRL where it's almost like I will die, but only if the curves aren't so sharp that I end up with a stiff neck after riding them.
Nope, it's just a lot more stylish with custom frame, especially for wooden coasters because you can put a diagonal frame while the default support frame is always boringly vertical. And since aeTIos's goal is to make the most beautiful park, I completely agree with this choice of a custom support frame :DI better take a week off to build a custom support frame for my wooden coaster... *.*Is it collapsing or something?
