Ok so, who can join game when:
Geekboy (at his dad's) hosts,

-Cooliojazz - YES

Cooliojazz hosts,

I am unsure if any other people joining and the order in which they join will affect any of our hosting capabilities, though.

umm slight edit needs to be made to me
make that geekboy dads for that as i can play on weekdays at my moms
and thats a whole different story(possibly a better one XD)

I can join. I just play at home.
I'm in Europe... If I lag too much I have no problem to be dropped, though.

Well we posted who can join and who can't after trying to connect to each other's games last night. Basically, everyone could join except that if Cooliojazz and Geekboy1011 were hosting the games, Hot_dog got a latency error message

As for now, Netham45 started a custom Battle.Net server. Until everything is setup completly I am unsure if the patch files can be distributed, though. However, some people might have gotten the hint last night as a bot was relaying both Omnimaga SC lobby and #omnimaga channels conversations together

sadly the bot is currently unstable and cant handle large chunks of text very well X.x
as if you come to the chan atm it is brocken :(
the patch files can be distibuted but its probally best to wait for a few more bot kinks to be worked out and for me to finsh getting our game stats up
there is no ladder system btw its all just fight who ya want
and its tallied in 0-0-0 i forgot the order
i think the bot should be able to become stabalized by the end of tommorow maby tonight epends on weather netham45 can find the bugs or not :/
once those kinks are worked out we have to add a bit of control to eh bot and such and then we will publicly release the patch although i am currently unsure of what DJ Omnimaga's plans are for the starcraft portion of this site

Well, in the future, Omnimaga will have an entire forum category that will be invisible to guests. This will include the Starcraft, Randomness and TI Calc Games Cheats & Walkthrough subforums.

would love to play a few matches over the summer, but i don't have iCCup. I'll try to get it if it still can play without the cd.

somehow, I can't seem to register for iCCup... Whenever I try to make an account, it always say that the name is registered, even if I make absurd names like sagkjalgakl :(

I might play SC1 again if i figure out the best hack (that won't ban you from iCCup) to play in Windowed mode, because 640x480 looks terrible on a 16:9 monitor
Otherwise we could play on Netham45 server if it's still up.

Oh ok. Sadly I can't help on SC on flash drive. I only ever tried on real computer harddrive :(

To play Starcraft on a flash drive you have to download patch 1.15.2 or higher from Blizzard, run the patch and follow the instructions under Patch 1.15.2 in the patch notes, then copy the starcraft folder onto your flash drive.
I've done it myself and it works.

Oh I meant that I never tried to install SC on a flash drive myself, because I never saw the need to, since I live in appartment and can use my own computer how I want with full admin priviledges. Back in hi school I never tried because flash drives didn't even exist and in college a 128 MB flash drive costed $200.

You mean iCCup, right? I'll add you when I have some time.
One thing, though, TI-Newb: last Fall, on IRC, sometimes your internet lagged so much that all your 10 lines of text would appear at once one minute after you type them. Is that fixed? If not, then it will cause a lot of issues when gaming on Starcraft. It requires a rather stable connection

dont worry, i dont lag on starcraft at all. I got a new network, and uhmm that used to happen cause i was on the ipod + its an app.

Hopefully maybe we can setup some games at one point. If I remember, Netham45 (illegal?) server is still up so I could share the link with you when you want to play. The best thing to do the first times would probably be to play vs the computer on an official map so you can watch others play and stuff and learn

lololol, man i play ALOTTTTTTT dude. but mostly just Protoss, and i hardly play Real maps though =(, but i know how i guess.
i usually Play Fastest Maps like Fastest Yoshi and such.

Well then it should be fine. I usually play official maps now, but I suck at them, still. I played Fastest/Zero Clutter a lot, though, so I should be good once I get back into them (I haven't played them in half a year :P)

When can you usually get online? Normally, I have tuesdays off as well as every two weekends (like the upcoming one). On most nights I am busy since I often work during evenings and sometimes I am tired.
That said, on Fastest Map Ever I am mainly a Zerg player and on regular maps Protoss. I sometimes do the opposite but I am not as great
