I stumbled over Silkroad online three days ago, and wasn't able to really get away from it till now ._.
It basically is a MMORPG, akin to WoW, with sweet graphics and neat storyline, magical items, boss monsters, party forming, guild, unions, trade, etc etc. etc.. But here comes the bummer:

ukay... my spare comp now is about 4 years old. and I absolutely have to get a new comp, my current one sloooows down when playing things like Oblivion. I'm currently flirting with the idea of an AMD X2 CPU :love:

I look like this normally. I took this pic to show a friend the Python Spear that guy has, but I'm in it too so it's ok.
Eagle1 hosts random events on our server. Things like horse races, hide and seek, etc with rewards of 1 million gold for the winner. The other day he/she hosted server wide trade run. It was cool. We had about 6-10 level 50 hunters protecting us 100 traders. We made 3 runs, during which I made 180,000 gold. I only did a 1 star trade so other players couldn't rob me.
The third one we all traced the character "Pencil" for safety. We had about 30 people standing in the same place.

I don't do trades regularly anymore, cuz SRO has taken a liking to crash since the last updates... New installation doesn't help ._.

I found a nice german guild with union attached, about 8-120 ppl. I'm the alchemy&nuker king (queen, since my char is female?) and am about to monopolize the element market on server olympus in hotan :D

D00d show me how to get Wind 2 and 4. Please? You have to see my collection of spears. It's very, very expensive.
Lvl 24 SOS+3, lvl 32 SOS+4, lvl 42 SOS+3, all with int and str. And you can't be a good nuker as a bow user. Psh. Use a spear, like me :D

sry.Heh. I nuke. So I don't need crit. I'm fine with a crit 2 spear, as long as magical reinforce rate and magical attack power have a high %. INT, STR, god attack rating and the block attribute are nice bonuses though :)

Well, it's the equivalent of a lvl 16 SOS Spear, and it's definitely a lot more expensive than that. Especially when you consider that if you add just one + to the lvl 16, the lvl 16 is stronger and still much, much, much cheaper. It's just a collector item.

Quests can be really boring. I ditched the tablet quest...
I find that I can lvl faster without quests. Why?
You normally can do the quest since you reached the same lvl as the monster you are supposed to hunt, which makes them "grey" to you.
I am a nuker, so I can one-hit far stronger mobs which then give a lot more EXP, usually "orange" up to "red mobs, depending on my wep.

It's a level 24 pure strength farming on Demon/Devil horses. I haven't decided whether I want to be a blade or a glaive, but I figure if I farm enough SP for both, I can do both since I don't need as many skill trees filled up as a nuker. :)

one thing that you can do to make more money is breakup all those old equps with destroyer rondos, you'll get like a ton of elements.
god, i've been trying to friggen buy a GDF for like 2 days now to no avail...were they an event item or is there another way to get them?

They do magical dmg only, but they do tremendous dmg (if you are pureINT)
SOx items are extremely rare and are the same as + on your gear:
SOS (Seal of star) = +5
SOM (Seal of moon) = +10
SOSUN (Seal of sun) = +15
tis crazy :)
Well, I kinda started an inflation so I am currently holding back...
But you can always pm me (MIrrizal) on Olympus for elements. 10.000 units of wind2, anyone? ^^
GDFs can't be bought from NPCs. You could get them during the event only. If you need a female GDF, I still have one in my storage.
Oh btw, I found a lvl 42 SOM blade with crit10... Anyone wanna buy it? :D

I have 4 GDFs.
I just use two computers to do that, but you can just have sessions on your computer where you have two people logged into windows at once and both logins can run SRO.
WHAT IS THE MAG DAMAGE ON THAT SWORD!?!?! If I could borrow or rent that it would solve this problem I'm having with an IRL friend. He basically made the same build as me but he's lower level. He's getting to my level and he'll need to farm. Even if we combine our money we only have about 5 mil, so we won't be able to buy another farming weapon for him. But if he could borrow your SOM, we could +3 it and add int and str and any other blues you want, and he or I could farm with that.

On Olympus female GDFs are 1-2mil. Male ones are more expensive, but I don't see why females ones are costing so much for you.
The nukes are like Flame Wave and Wolf's Thunderbolt.

You just have to have it maxed for enough dmg. The probability to freeze is always good, too, since it slows down the hp/mp regeneration of your opponent, even when he's drinking pots.
