I just found a player on SCII Battle.Net that only does SCV rushes in games. I wonder if he only does that to troll or to inflate his game count, but he's sure high already (see attachment).

Nonetheless I lol'ed when that happened in a game the first time. It's funny how someone has so many played games and high win/loss ratio but is still in Bronze league o.o

Yeah I definitively think he just wanted the portraits/some achievements or he really just does that to waste people time

A scv rush like he did is easy to beat with your own scvs as long as you built enough and still have some harvesting minerals while he attacks. The bad part is if you were planning to 6-pool rush or something

Oh trust me, this happens in Starcraft too, especially in the first game. In the 2nd game, fortunately, when most of your base is gone, you are revealed on the minimap, but in the first SC it is common for people to build pylons everywhere to make the opponent give up, giving them an easy win.

As for the easy win against a SCV rush, you really need to remember the person's name, though. In case of a 6-pool where you have very few drones, you're pretty much screwed unless you manage to build zerglings before he destroys your spawning pool

Really? That sucks :S. For some reasons I never got hooked as much to the game, but I think the main problem is that I have serious troubles handling changes. The only reason why I got into Warcraft 3 for a while is because its interface is the same as SC. Same for SC2. I started watching people play SC in 1998, then started playing in early 2001, although not often, then I started playing non-stop in 2004. After 6 years of getting used to a system, it's hard to do the switch to a new one. It's partially why I never got into ASM yet too.

If you get SC2 we should plan some games with you, Buckeye and hopefully Cooliojazz. Jsj795 is often online but he's always playing with other friends. If Blizzard ever gets rid of region-locking (preventing people who got the european version to play on american server or vice-versa) in future patches, we may even be able to play with Ikkerens. Otherwise I guess there's always Starcraft Brood War on iCCup

I encountered another person while playing the other day, maybe it is the same person, idk, but the player 6-pooled me and sent all his drone in my base as well, attempting a spine crawler rush, but I sent all my drones/zerglings to kill his stuff, knowing he's gonna lose anyway if he fails his rush (and drones vs zerglings are not too bad when you need to defend early in the game), and when he saw it epic failed he immediately left, lol.

Also I'll check my old computer to see if I got some old SC replays sometime. I should maybe do a video of the massive SCV attack I saw in a game if I still got that replay. It was funny how it actually worked. I think it was several years ago. On top of that it was on a Fastest Money Map so normally the other player should have been able to defend easier with all those barracks and money
