FINALLY!

I managed to find a Super Mario Sunshine copy that is reasonably priced. It was $19.99 while the two other game stores sold it for $44.99. I also got Killer Instinct and a CIB copy of Hogan's Alley (NES Zapper game) for the same prices.

It's pretty fun, a SNES classic. The graphics were generated the same way as in Donkey Kong Country, if I remember, and the special effects are nice. It's also made by the same company, by the way.

My best video game pickup: a Retro Duo Portable for about $74.
Including the games I wanted for it (genuine NES and SNES cartridges), I spent $200.84.
Did you know that "Ammonia Gas" rearranged is "As Omnimaga"?

Digitalized graphics? Meh, I'm not fan of this, the animations of characters in this kind of graphics are too different to blend naturally...

Yeah the thing is that on a SNES, this was the only way to display 3D graphics with this much details at a decent speed. If they would have used real 3D there would have been no textures, frame rate would be much slower and they would have needed extra chips.

What games did you get?

Ok, now I officially understand why people didn't like Super Mario Sunshine. Although I didn't really have much issues with jumping/walking, the inverted camera controls (that you can't change in options) are extremely annoying and I thought they left that to the Xbox. Also the game feels pretty different it seems (even more than SMB2USA), plus that Dark Mario chase at the beginning when he kidnaps Peach was ridiculously hard. It took me like 10 minutes before I finally manage to stop him. >.<

Another issue is that the cutscenes at the start where the guy explains some controls were ridiculously long >.<

Yeah the GAME is really hard and you can't skip cutscenes so it's annoying if you already saw them. :/ Besides that, I find it pretty fun.

I think SMS give to Mario his best jump movesets.

And that's the only first chase...

That said, not being able to skip cutscenes is very common in role playing games and older games, but at least in non RPGs they were generally pretty short, unlike in Sunshine. As for the difficulty the first stage looked much easier than the dark mario chase just before, but there's a lot of exploring to figure out what to do involved, which seems to make the game slow-paced.

Oh God I LOVE them. That's quite a fun challenge with a funny music (good remix of Mario's theme)
