I live in the Netherlands. It all depends on where you live and how popular it was in your country.
Edit: I have to pay €6,75 shipping on top of the €10 by the way.

You must have turned me into a metapod, because I just used harden
Edit: Oh, you mean't buying video games not pick up lines, I will see myself out.
This is my favorite post in the thread!

As for my best video game pickups, i've gotta say:
1. Phoenix
2. Bubble Bobble
3. Joltima
4. BomberKids
5. Lotus Turbo Challenge

...all picked up around 2000/2001 for a grand total of.. nothing (unless you count the effect they had on my grades)!

If it's gotta be something you paid for, i'd say getting a brand spanking new copy of Legend of Legaia for $15 in 1999 is up there.

EDIT: Also, a new copy of the GC version of Phantasy Star Online for $20 in 2003 was another game i bought on a whim that sucked hours and hours of my life away.

:P

Also, the Gamecube version of PSO has sucked up countless hours of my life. I have 2 characters over level 100 on it. :D There's supposed to be a new one coming out soon, so I'm kind of interested.

Just picked up a used copy of the world ends with you. I've been looking for that game forever!

If PSO, yes. There are (or were) private servers up. :)

How do you connect the gamecube to the internets? I thought that broadband adapter was not a success.

PSO does indeed use the broadband adapter. :)

Can PSO GC players play with other consoles' players or are they all separate servers? Also I wish I picked up PSU for 360 back in 2009. EBGames had it for $4.99 when they ran crazy deals on games back then, but I guess I was kinda worried about it being that cheap due to not being popular or something. Also apparently PSU's 360 server shutted down in 2012.

DJ: They can on fan servers, but things can get quite buggy. This is due to differences between the versions. Some items and things have different stats and it crashes sometimes. Also, I tried PSU and didn't like it at all. It played very differently. :(

Aw ok D: . Too bad then x.x

Also my Atari 2600 has finally arrived! :D I was surprised at how light the model I got was, considering the previous one (that had 6 switches) was apparently very heavy. It came with Space Invaders, Combat, Pitfall (awesome game btw), Spider Fight (another great game) and Donkey Kong and it was in very good condition. Only issue is that my TV didn't seem to like Space Invaders much, but I guess that can be expected with an early '80s console :P.

Hopefully Solaris, along with my batch of NES/SNES games arrive soon as well (I ordered another copy of Sonic 3 by mistake so I'm probably gonna give it to juju since I already have a boxed one now)

Just bought Tomb Raider 1-9 for a staggering €13. I guess that'll keep me busy for some time :P

I got castlevania NES for €17 and it was cracked because of shipping and bad packaging. Not a great deal >.<

Ouch that sucks D:. I know JJgames sells it for $41 here (although Simon's Quest is $8 and Dracula's Curse $19) but I hate when they use bad shipping packages. In JJGames' case this can happen too because in my case, they put games inside a box with no protection at all and I know someone who bought fewer games and they came in a regular envelope with no bubble. Thankfully all my games were in perfect condition but I worry that if someone buys a small amount of them that the package could get crushed or something during shipping.

Also I forgot to mention that I bought Solaris for Atari 2600 (most advanced graphics ever seen in an Atari 2600 game) too a while ago. This one looks pretty much new although the box is a bit damaged. I hope it arrives soon. That would add to my small Atari collection (DK, Pitfall, Spider Fighter, Space Invader and Combat)
