I picked aladdin for snes up yesterday and I played it for a bit. The first levels aren't that difficult, but at the lava bit it gets really tricky. Luckily you are given a password so you start off at this point. It's a really cool game with nice graphics and the control scheme is very basic, so it's easy to pick up and play. I recommend this game to everyone with a snes!

I would recommend the SNES version. In the sega version the music is not great and the gameplay is a bit meh. You get a sword and you use that troughout the game. The emphasis is on using the sword instead of platforming.

Yea, it's been a while since I've seen a review of the two games side by side, but that was very common in the 90's. Also, Game grumps isn't the same at all without Jon. They had a great dynamic going, and that really isn't there anymore.

Sonic The Hedgehog (Sega Genesis)
-I already had a copy, but the label was almost completely faded and the copy I just got for $10 included the box and is in pretty good condition. Gonna get rid of my other copy soon.

The Lawnmower Man (SNES)
-Although the game isn't that much related to the movie (and thus, is much less gory), it's still kinda fun. It alternates between shooting platformer and 3D tunnels. Game was boxed with manual, but no case insert (*cough*I'll probably just take the one from Space Ace *cough*). I was really surprised that it was actually good, because most games based on movies suck.

On The Ball (SNES)
-In this one you are a ball that you move around by rotating the map. It reminds me of some Sonic bonus stages actually. You must reach the end of the stage before time runs out and there are many obstacles. Pretty awesome game that should maybe be ported to calcs (assuming top-down view mode 7 is fast enough). This one only included the box and cartridge.

i picked up a ps2 just when the xbox 360 was coming out for $5 at a yardsale, worked fine, best deal Ive had to date,
other good one was when i picked up a GBC and 4 games for 10 bucks at a consignment shop.

Darn that is nice. The PS1 still goes for $19.99 and PS2 for $39.99-59.99 at retro game stores here. The GB and GBA ranges from $9.99 to $19.99, but I can't seem to find a GBA SP anywhere. Not that I care anyway since my bro still got his original DS that can play GBA carts.

Off-topic, I wonder if it's possible to play old DS games in multiplayer link play by using two different systems, such as a 3DS and an original DS?

I want a gba sp, but the backlit model. Just for playing the original gameboy games. I could also run an emulator on the DS and it will work fine.
