Personally, my main problem with FFI for the NES was the extreme amount of grinding required to progress in the game. Although it's a classic, I prefer to play the Playstation 1 port in easy mode. I had the same issue with the Playstation 1 version of Final Fantasy IV so I prefer the SNES or GBA versions (which are much easier).

I didn't like FFII experience system, because it was mostly luck-based. You could nearly kill your own characters 10 times in one battle, only to end up receiving no stat increase at all, simply because in addition to the requirements for stat increases, there was also a 50-80% chance that you get no increase at all. Also it caused some balance issues as you progressed, because magic took forever to level up compared to attacks, so at the end of the game, most magic did 200 damage and attacks did 1000, then there was that final boss that healed himself by 5000 HP by draining 1500 HP from one of your char. That LV system was innovative, but it was very broken.

I liked VII, but I'm not a huge fan of that kind of story that is set in some modern ghetto when it comes to adventure/RPGs. I loved the rest, though, so it's my 2nd favorite behind FFVI. I never liked VIII, though, because it seemed like more a love story with missions rather than a FF game. I liked FFIX except maybe the extremely slow-paced battles (especially when Quina is casting blue magic). As for FFIII and V I didn't mind them, although I didn't get into them as much. I seemed a bit overwhelmed by the incredibly large amount of jobs to master, so I always worried that 90% of my jobs would remain underleveled.

I never got into FFX or higher, because after 2000, I stopped buying new consoles since I couldn't afford them and all I had was a SNES, NES and PS1. It took until 2005 before we buy newer generation consoles again, but by then, I was not into gaming as much anymore.

Even if I was still into gaming, though, I assure you that I would never get FFXI or XIV, even if they're kinda good, simply because I will never pay a monthly fee to play a MMORPG.

Yeah in my case, I am mainly interested by the Mario titles, especially the classic style ones.

I just got back from a large indoor fleamarket. It was a 30 minute drive and the parking was expensive, but in the end it was worth it. I got myself quite a lot of cool stuff.

NES:
€2 Ninja gaiden. It's called Shadow Warrior in europe. It was in a rental box, but for €2 you can't really complain about that. The game itself is in really nice condition.
€5 Gremlins 2. Really cool game. I played it a bit and so far I enjoyed it. The 3d environment is kind of refreshing after having played so many platformers.

SNES:
€5 Pilotwings. Price is about right I guess. Got it from the same reseller I got Gremlins 2 from.

PS2:
€1,50 Dead or Alive 2. I did not have any fighting games for the ps2 and for €1,50 you can't really pass on a game like this.

Gamecube:
€10 Controller. My other GC controller was worn down. The thumbstick did not have texture on it anymore and the rubber started to come off.

Wii:
€10 Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I played this game at launchdate over at a friends. The controls are a bit laggy and the AI is not very smart, but that might just be the difficulty settings. I never owned a game from the smash bros series, so I am glad I finally got it for a reasonable price in box, with manual. It even has the little nintendo star points card with the code unscratched. I think I am gonna leave it that way.

PC:
€2 Half Life 2. I'm probably gonna give this to my yougner brother. He is more into FPS than I am.
€1 2 x 512Mb DDR2 ram. For repairs and upgrades.
€1 Enterprise grade keyboard. Not sure if mechanical. It's nice and clicky. Always wanted one of these. The keys are still a little bit heavy. Still: just €1 for a keyboard is not a bad deal in any way. This one still has all the letters visible on it whereas my previous one did not. I also like that this is a wired keyboard. My wireless one ran out of batteries at the worst moments.

And I almost bought a TI83+ for €1, but a woman just got there 5 seconds earlier and she got the deal I also saw a sega kids gear (newer model gamegear) It missed both battery covers so I passed on it at first, but then when I decided to get it anyway it was sold already. Whoever it was: He caught me slipping on something. There was a €25 GBA SP backlit model. It was pink and it had stickers and sticker residue on it. I really wanted a backlit SP, but that is way overpriced, so I passed on it.

The GBA is Overpirced off 5€ only. Lucky guy, I only have little pickups when doing fleamarket...

At this rate I am never gonna be able to play all of my ps2 games. I bought so many of them in such a short timespan that I never got to playing all of them. They are just so friggin cheap these days even complete in box. I also saw Final fantasy X for €10, but sadly I ran out of cash, so I did not get it.

As I said: Now is the time to stack up on PS2 games since nobody seems to care about them. Prices for wii games are dropping too, but they are still about €10-€15 on flea markets. I bet that is gonna come down as more and more people are going to switch to wiiU.

@Eiyeron, I just visit the big ones in cities. People always have some games and computer hardware there. There will also be resellers with a stack of games at either market value or overpriced. They don't have a lot of good games since collectors have been picking out the good ones. They are left with sports games and mediocre games. I managed to get gremlins 2 and pilotwings. People don't seem to realize that those are actually great games.

@DJ O That happens. It was in a rental box, so people might not have spotted it. The seller did not know what he had either. He said he had more nes games, but he sold them already. I arrived at 10.30 and the event started at 9. Probably locals. Those darn locals always get the good stuff
