I got F-zero x for the n64 last week. I am getting F-zero GX for the gamecube too!

I got the prequel to Mario and Luigi dream team: Mario & Luigi partners in time for the nintendo ds recently. I played it for a bit and I finally got past the wiggler boss. Before I owned it I played it on my R4 cart. I usually just use it to try out games. DS games are pretty cheap these days and I was happy to pick up a complete copy for €15.

I saw some other cool ds games as well. They had a whole stack, but I did not allow myself to buy more than one game.

All complete. I think they are all sold by now. They were all great games.

I once got Street Fighter 2 Special Champions Edition + Mortal Kombat 2 for the Genesis online at roughly 5$ (boxes, manuals and all). My best investment to date.

I also got Ecco The Dolphin around that time, but I paid a little bit more for it. I'm still looking for Ecco 2 if anyone knows where I can get it at a decent price.

Indeed. That reminds me, I wonder how much a complet DKC copy costs over here nowadays? I got DKC3 with the box but no manual for $30 last Spring and it was in pretty good condition, but DKC always seemed more expensive.

Now I just found a copy of DK64 finally.

If you have a car, try Jean-Talon flea market. Going there with public transit is a major PITA because you walk for 25 minutes at the end of your trip, but I found about 5 retro game stands, in one of which I found a boxed copy of Ecco 2 (although the manual was missing). Don't expect much deals, since they know their stuff, but sometimes you might be lucky. For example, I found Mega Man 2 for $20 and Cybernator for $7 once. The best deals are apparently from sellers who aren't specialized in games, since they usually have no clue about how much old games can cost, but then it's much harder to spot games.

Else, you might have to rely on the retro game stores in the area, like La Planque, Rétro-Révo, Microplay (I think only the Lévis store sells retro games, tho), Free Game, etc. I would avoid Dédé and Play-N-Trade, though, because most stuff is absolutely overpriced and the clerk will try to pressure you into buying stuff (although Dédé has the largest collection and can make you some deals if you buy $200 worth of stuff).

Yeah it depends. La Planque and Microplay usually have some deals, especially the former on PS1 games, but SNES/Sega Genesis games are usually slightly higher than Ebay prices (although from what I noticed, it's usually $10 higher max and with shipping costs on Ebay the price in the end is pretty much the same. I did see some bad stuff like $150 for Xenoblade, though (when you can get it for $60 on Ebay) or Star Fox for $59.99 (complete), although it's usually nowhere as insane as Dédé (where everything is $20 higher). Don't get me started on Instant Comptant. I think they charge $39.99 for Super Mario World .
