Actually they solved the bulky Xbox gamepad issue with the 360, but they're still larger than the rest. The original Xbox one was ridiculous, though (someone's gf had to buy a smaller third-party one because the official one was too large for her hands)

Monday I got Lufia: The Ruins of Lore for the Game Boy Advance, complete in box. The guy was charging $55 for it but since the box is damaged with an inch long hole on one side, he sold it for $35.

No, I've put all the taxes in the $70 or something... So it's actually $60.

My copy of Journey to Silius finally arrived at Free Game (I just grabbed it a few minutes ago). Some of the best NES graphics (although most of them are because they only used 1 color per tile and about 2 per map, allowing extra shading) and music.

Yeah I remember they lost the license. It sucked because it would have been an amazing movie based game, something that is very rare.

Also nice about the Sega Genesis clone. I didn't realize that Walmart started selling retro-related consoles and accessories, although I heard that they are gonna accept trade-ins soon (although I bet it will be like Gamestop and they won't accept retro games).


Also I might not buy as many new games in the near future, because new games are now launched at $69.99 instead of $59.99 in Canada, thanks to the CAD dollar now being worth $0.90 USD >.<. I seriously hope that the dollar won't start falling back to 90's values, because look at how much games costed in Canada back in the days

Even Sega CD and Playstation 1 games were ridiculous at first despite being CD medium. I remember all of them were $80 (or even $90 for Sega CD games) before they finally started dropping to $60 in 1999 or so. PS2 and Gamecube games did the same thing.

And to think that EA wants to charge $69.99 USD for PS4 games at launch. This means we'll pay $79.99 here or more >.<

Indeed, but back then, even some CD-based games were more expensive than today. Most Sega CD sports games were about $70 in USA. The $60 standard arrived around the Sega Saturn days.

That said, even today there are games that are more expensive than normal, excluding limited edition gimmicks. Shin Megami Tensei IV for the DS, for example, was $50 on launch, while all other 3DS games launched at $40.


EDIT: By the way, earlier this afternoon I got Metal Gear and Gotcha for the NES, along with Bravely Default for the 3DS.
