Hi guys. I have a few questions about the ti sec84+.
1: what can you use to program it?
2: can it run programs for the 83,84?(doors,mirage os,ect)
3: are thier any hacks/shells for it yet?
4: out of five stars what would you rate it?
thanks!!!
1: SourceCoder, TokenIDE or the on-calc editor. For Z80 ASM coders I think the usual tools will work but I don't remember if there's a DCSE SDK.
2: No. Only a very small amount of math programs made in BASIC might run, as well as certain homescreen games. Among my games, I think that only Mana Force 1 runs properly on that calc. There are now some cool games for that calc, tho, like Block Dude, Pacman, Frogger, Snake, Dino Puzzle and some crude Engrish puzzle-adventure game.
3: ASM and apps natively supported *stabs TI for not doing the same on the Nspire*. Doors CSE is the only shell.
4: 4.5 stars. I love it, but typing is slow and the hardware is kinda limited for such large screen, so it's more for people who like old school platforms and pushing them to their limits.
