Howdy folks! I think you guys can help me.
So, I bought a TI-Nspire CAS Touchpad in April. And now I'm having battery issues with my handheld.
My current OS is 3.6 and the power standby time is 1 minute and Hibernation time is set to 1 day.
I used my handheld for like 2 months with the Duracell Alkaline batteries that were included with the package, moderate classroom usage. I upgraded my OS to 3.6 with those batteries.
When my batteries were dead, I installed a fresh set of Duracell batteries and turned on my handheld and used it for like 5 minutes and I powered off my handheld and then I went out of town. I came home 5 days later and my handheld wasn't turning on. Then I replaced my batteries again. It turned on. Then I used my handheld for like 5 minutes again and turned off my handheld. The next day the handheld showed only 75% batteries remaining. I used it for 10 minutes and turned it off. I was busy and didn't use it for like 4 days and on the 5th day I turned on my handheld and it was saying the AAA batteries were critically low and asked me to change the batteries immediately. I had to change my batteries 6 times this month and I can say I wasn't able to use my handheld more than an hour between the 6 time changing.
Does anyone know what is happening? Why my calculator is draining battery while it's off? October SAT is coming and this calculator is becoming a pain in the butt.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks!
