No, that's not true. Although Bfr is correct, there is a possibility using MulTI. Check out http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/388/38820.html. It works for ION stuff (I think) and only some games.

Well, you probably shouldn't get a TI-89 Titanium just for games.  Also, note that most TI-89 games work on the TI-89 Titanium, and most ones that don't can be fixed with a "Ghostbuster" program (it's name is something like that...).  You could just get a regular TI-89 for a cheaper price too.    

One more thing - the TI-89 Titanium is about as expensive as a TI-84+ Silver Edition (and there are the TI-84+ and regular TI-83+, which is 99% compatible, each for a less expensive price, and most TI-84+ SE/TI-83+ SE gamees will work on them too).
