Is it possible to do? 2.53 sucks really bad. Even some old basic programs i made, lag, eat more memory, and don't run as smoothly. if it is, where can i find v2.43 for my TI 84+ SE... And i do know its illegal. but this si the internet for god sakes!

It's illegal and TI monitors this and other forums, so we couldn't post a response with where to find such a thing. There was a time where you could e-mail them and ask for the earlier version and they would send it to you, but I think they may have stopped that. It's worth a shot, at

.
Once you get the upgrade, yes, of course, you can switch to any OS version you want. It doesn't prevent you from downgrading like the TI-Nspire does.

Note that its not so much that TI is monitoring this site, but that 1and1 (which hosts the site) would shut it down if they ever found out that we were partaking in any illegal material. That said, google is your friend in this one

I really needed this. I truly HATED the new Os except for the highlighting feature. But damn was it slow! TYVM

Isn't 2.43 still available on the Singapore page on TI website too? Sometimes Archive.org is slow and maybe TI will eventually send them DMCA notices too
EDIT: it is
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/ASIA/nonProductMulti/singapore_apps.html
As for the new OS, not only it is slow, especially 2.53MP (2.54 isn't as bad), but it also had compatibility issues with certain softwares (such as Reuben Quest 2, Illusiat 2004, xLIB, Omnicalc and The Reign of Legends 2)
