Wow. Ok. First off:

1. Biggest ti-calculator archive on the net: http://www.ticalc.org, it's got over 100000 files I believe.

2. More specifically, http://www.ticalc.org/pub/83plus/.

3. You'll want to start coding using TI-BASIC. The online TI-84+ manual will give you some info, though the one you got with your 84+SE also gives you some sample programs. I liked http://odin.prohosting.com/mjs2k/tutorials/index.htm#83b tutorial for some reason while I was learning BASIC, but there are hundreds out there. And of course, there's the http://tibasicdev.wikidot.com/, and all of the members would kill me if I didn't mention that.

4. (You should have installed all those drivers + TI-Connect + all that other stuff you need to connect your calc to your computer by now.)

5. My games:
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/148/14876.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/348/34879.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/212/21274.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/400/40091.html
I've got this issue with finding Super Mario v2.0, but I recommend it if you can find it.

Also, to run these, you'll need a shell. (You only need one.) Shells:
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/325/32507.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/398/39812.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/139/13949.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/400/40005.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/130/13058.html

Now, for BASIC:
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/360/36075.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/377/37729.html
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/396/39695.html

Tons of other games and programs, just look and search for what you want. :)smile.gif

To run two of those BASIC games, you need to install

6. Post your questions.

To answer your question: all you need to do is go into the draw menu, press the right arrow key twice (or the left once) and you'll see the Pic menu. Here you can use StorePic # to store what is currently on the graphscreen into Pic# and RecallPic # to recall it (# stands for the picture number that can be from 0 to 9).

Also, there are a couple more games that are pretty sweet, especially since you have an 84+SE and don't really need to worry about space (1.5 MB of archive space).

And more that I forgot about or do not have time because I need to go to school pretty soon (like 1 minute)...

Mario 2.0 was never release but a beta tester leaked a almost finished copy online hence it is hard to find though I belive Calcgames.org has it. But that is why there are some glitches in v2.0. It was never finished because the programer got mad at the comunity for leaking his project.

1. You (Un)Archive stuff by pressing [2ND] +
  • to open the MEM menu, [2] to open Mem Mgmt/Del..., and then [7] to see a list of your programs. If there is a star next to it, it means to program is archived. Press [ENTER] to (Un)Archive it. However, you only need to unarchive BASIC games to run them. Assembly games can stay archived, and still run (from a shell).

2. Well, if you mean the regular TI-83 (not TI-83+), I don't really know. BASIC programs for the regular 83 (from here on known as "83") have the file extension .83p, as opposed to the 84+ extension of .8xp. If you take the source code, however, and copy it into a .8xp, then it will work. (I do not know if you can actually send a .83p to your 84+, never tried it). I don't exactly know about assembly.
Concerning the 83+, all of the 83+ programs will run on the 84+.

@Storm: Oh, heh, didn't know that, but I do have a copy of it on my computer. Doesn't seem to be a beta to me :)smile.gif

Thanks for the help, one more question... Is it possible to put programs that go onto my RAM into my ROM space? Desolate went into my RAM automaticly but I can't open it cause I don't have enough RAM left to unarchive it

all asm games that run in mirage can be left archived. In desolate you need to unarchive DESDATA to play though, and FInal Fantasy save file must be in ram to be able to save

Read #1 again, I sort-of-said-in-a-not-so-easy-to-understand-for-noobs way that pressing [ENTER] will archive it if unarchived, and unarchive it if archived.

Any program can be in the archive or ram all you have to do is Press [2nd],
  • , [2], [1] toget to the meory management screen then Press [ENTER] to switch a program from Ram To Arc. Though some games require some of their programs to be in ram and others in arc when ran but unless you are playing the game you should keep all of the programs in archive.  Most shells have a way to archive or unarchive programs. All Shells can run programs from archive(by unarchiveing them while they run) but if they have subprograms the subprograms may have to be Unarchived (in RAM)

To all those basic questions about calc use, how about a very easy (though somewhat curt) answer: rtfm :rtfm:faq.gif
