I don't know what's going to happen now, now that jimbauwens has left...
Sorry I personally can't be of much help...
It probably depends, as he'll most likely be around on certain IRC channels not in Omni territories or in direct contat with TI-Planet staff. And wow I didn't realize there were Nspire OSes that opened RTF-style documents.

What's the file size of RTF style documents as compared to XML? I'd suspect that XML styling would result in smaller tns files (eg:  .rtf/.doc/.docx) so perhaps that's why they changed the styling for the release OS version.

from the format it looks like it could go either way, but I suspect XML would be somewhat smaller. I bet the real reason they cared enough to switch is the ability they gain to have expandable types, so they can support their fancy mathprint  rendering.

Yes I think that reason fits quite nicely, the mathprint being better with XML. I wonder how the xml styling would work for the addition of Chinese Characters in >OS2.1...

Hey all :)

I need to clarify some stuff regarding the rtf and xml.
All Nspire OS's, even the new ones support the rtf based markup.
But, this markup is different than normal style rtf, and it's still embedded in an XML document (which is then in a (encrypted) zip document).
Because TI added stuff to the rtf, mathboxes and other stuff can be put in it.
You can do everything you can do with XML.

Now, I don't know when I will be able to add support to nCreator, since I got a lot on my head. (meaning I have a lot of other stuff to do :P)

You already did a lot, just allowing to read files created on the CAS+.
Take your time. :)

Well, beside that I've got 2 CAS+'s in the meantime, and tried to hack them for various stuff, I haven't actually worked on the editor.
Sorry for that :[
