[PRGM USAGE] Calculator problems - TI-83+

I have purchased a ti-83+ and I installed mirage os and a few games, and mirage os always gets a glitchy screen when i go into it, and it can go to normal after a few movements but it screws up again later. Nearly any game I play the lcd is so glitched it is nearly unplayable, it either shakes, or the screen is divided strangely, or it just gets bad.
I took that calculator back, and I got a new one and it has the exact same problem. A friend of mine who purchased a calculator has the exact same problem as well. I have tried using crunchyos and that still presents the problem. I updated the os, nothing. Clearing memory, anything, nothing seems to work properly.
The calculator portion works fine, however.

That seems to be a lcd driver problem on the calc, you will have to wait patiently for the next version of mirage for it to be fixed.
Did you try doors cs? (

hmm I think this might fix the problem:
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/366/36608.html
this actually fix the LCD on new TI-83+SE/84+. I think you just need to run it with Asm( in the catalog
there was another similar program by Michael Vincent but I think it only show the LCD t-states or something similar, it wont fix problems on it

so I guess this might be the problem realted to mirageOS 1.2 which has issues displaying Ion programs. Did you tried running those games in Ion? Some are compatible with it:

its so much easier to just blame it on TI-connect.

Actually, just blame it on TI for going cheaper on their hardware, and it costin the same for the calcs...

I think the only thing to do is to wait until a new MirageOS version is out or until the programmers update their games. Does The Verdante Forest worked?

I have this problem on a few games as well. It's a bad LCD driver and, from what I know, there's no way to fix it......Unless it's an 83+ SE or an 84+/SE. Normal 83+ calcs with bad LCD drivers you just have to live with......
