Ehh, I forsee this thread turning into a rage of English vs other languages, so I'll put my two cents into the machine before it gets bad. I don't have a problem with the look/navigation of the site, I just wish the translation was better than Google translate. Incase you guys didn't notice Google translate screws the entire site up, at least for me, and when I hover over anything its a giant "reply" button that covers my entire screen. But hey, if its no big problem, whatever. I'm not pushing for all English, only English, I just want compatibility. It is kinda intimidating to read a whole page in a language I don't understand lol I guess that's how some people view English, but that's another topic.

Now for some moderator to come under me and say something to the tune of "get back on topic!"

Yeah well, just use Google Translate and navigate your way to the ROMs. I guess it's kinda obvious (unless TI-Planet is slow on your computer). Other than that, yeah try to not deviate too much from topic.

Télécharger = Download
Programmes = Programs
The rest should be kinda obvious.

It's a french site, so I'm not really sure what you would expect. Honestly viewing the site through Google translate has been fine for me. Also, most major news topics are posted in both languages, and you can post in either language.

Now for some moderator to come under me and say something to the tune of "get back on topic!"

Now that that's taken care of... get back on topic! :P

Yeah, the major news stories on TI-Planet are usually translated in English and posted on Omnimaga. Rule of thumb: if critor or adriweb posts a news on Omnimaga, it's a translation from TI-Planet. (Wait, we're getting off-topic again.)

This is why I begged Adriweb/Critor to upload direct links in Omnimaga archives for the popular TI-Nspire programs they made (that way they don't need to update the files at 2 places, since over here they're hotlinked), because it would make it much easier for the English TI community if everything Nspire-related wasn't TI-Planet-only. We could upload the files ourselves then ask admins to replace the author with the appropriate one, but then we might get a bad reputation among other english archives since it's looked upon in the English community to upload other people's files in Omni/ticalc/Cemetech/whatever non-french archives.

By the way, TI-Planet has every TI-OS available on their website, but all of the ones still available on TI server are just redirects to the respective files.

yeah, and usually, when (like recently) TI deletes some OS on their server, we upload our backups directly on our server so that it's still available.
If you do find some dead OS links, please tell us :)

Well, I did report dead files links (TI-Graph Link software, for instance) before to Critor and he never replied. :P In your case would PM there work?

The redirects to the download for the Ti Nspire connect software work, but the application won't run. It says it's an invalid application. I did whatever I could, nothing.
With kArm, I'm having trouble installing Ndless. I'll try again today.

I used three different translation tools. The best one is Bing, but if you use a search tool or navigate somehow without clicking a link, Bing's tool thinks you don't need it anymore.
Keep trying.

Sure, but an email with the links/name would be even better ^^

The emulator is obviously not a complete one. ^^ It's quite sufficient, however. I'll wait for mom to give me the CX CAS and use it instead.
Keep trying.

Why is it not complete? It is a full TI-Nspire emulator.

If you mean that it lacks a GUI, it does take some getting used to, but all functionality is there. Or you could try SpiroH's kArmTI project which is an older version of nspire_emu with a GUI attached.

Well is there a way to combine kArmTI and the newest emu?
I can't run any of the emulators for games (gbc, GBA, NES,) or utilities like mViewer or Commander. I figured this was a problem with the emu.. my bad.
Keep trying.

The latest build of kArmTI is based on nspire_emu 0.70, AFAICT.

In general, only its author can upgrade kArmTI, as it's stubbornly closed-source, despite the obvious usefulness of having it open source and the equally obvious pitfalls and downsides of having it closed source. But this topic has already been discussed multiple times without forward progress and is now in moderation territory.
