Nope, sorry.
Also, could you post the 5 chars before P ?
(It's the factory plus the date)

BTW, is the back of the calc white ?

I have just purchased a Nspire cx non cas and would like to upgrade it to cas. I have gone through this forum and tried a few things but am running into a problem with the os version that I am running. I have 3.2.4.1237 and have not been successful with any of the techniques. Can someone tell me what I need to do to downgrade to an earlier version so that I can continue to install the cas software.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Is there any news on installing on models j, k and higher?

Up to which final letter is the hack working?

Before working an an own idea I'am interested if these are nlaunch-able /ndless-able.

regards
Jorge

The final letter on which nLaunchy works is I.
However, OS 3.1 and 3.6 are Ndlessable, regardless of the hardware revision. (3.9 is not though)

As Legimet says above, you can't use nLaunch/nLaunchy on hardware J and higher, but you can use Ndless on OS 3.6 fine. I don't think using OS 3.1 is possible on that calculator, though.

The difference with Ndless for 3.6 and hardware J or higher is that everytime your calculator reboots you'll have to re-install Ndless again, which might not be that bad, but a little annoying.

TX Legimet and DJ Omnimaga!

Sry 4 b'ng annoying but are there known and easy hardware / hw+sw exploits to nlaunchy or ndless j,k and higher with OS 3.9(+)?

If not I consider nspire j+ with 3.9+ as no more interesting, what do you think?

Regards and again Thanks alot!

There's currently no way to install Ndless on OS 3.9 running hardware J and higher, sorry. I think it might be possible to downgrade an OS 3.9 TI-Nspire that has hardware A through I, but it would require extra hardware like an Arduino or RS232/TTL interface.

There is usually a gap of between 6 and 18 months between an OS release and a compatible Ndless release for that OS, depending of how busy the developers are are how hard it is to find exploits to run Ndless or nLaunchy on it.

OS 3.9 is interesting for people who don't mind only running Lua programs and the Lua language on OS 3.2 and higher is much faster than on 3.1 and lower, but not being able to use the many powerful Ndless programs out there is annoying.

Update to my previous post: Earlier yesterday an OS 3.9 downgrade got released: http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=172099&sid=fb36298f23817f0a43d587b870cf0c4b#p172099

If you are currently running OS 3.9 and are willing to downgrade, then hopefully this can help you. Make sure to read the instructions included with the download.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :) Just two advices I would like to give to make your stay on the forums easier and more enjoyable:

-Be careful with tutorials posted by new members like the one quoted above. In the tutorial above, for example, big warnings about the risk of bricking your calculator might have been omitted and some steps might be missing. Sometimes it's better to follow the original website link or to double-check everywhere in case. Thankfully, in your case, things seems to work fine, though, so that's good.

-Also instead of double or triple-posting, it's best to use the EDIT/Modify button to make it easier to read topics. :)
